The Space:

Luquillo Beach Flat is a gorgeous 3-bed 2-bath apartment across the street from Playa Azul in Luquillo, one of the most popular beaches in Puerto Rico. You and your guests will love the unobstructed beach views viewable from the living room, dining room, and breezy terrace. The living room has a large flat-screen TV with cable. There is high-speed WIFI throughout the property.



The apartment comfortably sleeps 6 adults in 3 bedrooms. There are two full bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen for extended stays.



The beach is less than a 3-minute walk from the flat - all you have to do is cross the street.



IMPORTANT NOTE: CHECK-IN PROCEDURE: The check-in process at this property is a bit complicated. Upon arrival, since the parking beeper is inside the unit, guests are requested to park outside the gate temporarily. Subsequently, guests will retrieve the keys to the pedestrian gate from a lockbox so they can check-in to the unit and retrieve the parking beeper. Once you have the beeper, you can park at the assigned parking spot during your stay. We kindly ask guests to take note of this procedure prior to confirming their booking.





LIVING AREAS



The flat has an open living and dining room overlooking the balcony and beach. The dining room comfortably sits 4 adults and has a convenient opening to the kitchen counter so you can serve meals buffet style. The living room has A/C and a large flat screen TV with cable and Netflix. The living room also has a wonderful layout for socializing. Enter the balcony and you will feel like you are literally on the beach. It does not get closer to the beach than this!



 

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS



The master bedroom has a queen bed and a dedicated full bathroom. There is a flat screen TV with cable.



The second bedroom also has a queen bed, dresser, and large closet.



The third bedroom has 2 twin beds.



All bedrooms have ceiling fans and AC units.



PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):



We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.





KITCHEN



The kitchen has everything you will need for an extended stay. The kitchen was recently outfitted with a new fridge, stovetop, microwave, and range hood. The kitchen cabinets are not new but they are fully functional. The kitchen layout allows you to socialize with guests in the dining and living room and enjoy the beach views while you cook.  





GETTING AROUND & PARKING



We strongly recommend renting a car, as there are a multitude of activities within a 15-30-minute drive that you will not want to miss out on. Also, Uber is not readily available in the area, which is why it's important to have your own means of transportation.



The villa includes one (1) assigned parking spot.



 

LOCATION



Luquillo Beach Flat is located on Luquillo Beach, Puerto Rico. Luquillo Beach is well known for its refreshing trade-winds and large palm trees which provide plenty of shade. The location provides quick and easy access to some of the best beaches in Puerto Rico, El Yunque Rainforest, and the boat tours and water activities based out of Fajardo.  



There are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are some of our favorites:



Chill at the beach! It’s one of our favorite beaches in Puerto Rico and a must do if you are staying at Luquillo Beach Flat. The apartment has beach chairs, towels, and coolers for a long day at the beach.

Lunch or dinner at Los Kioskos de Luquillo. There are over 25 restaurants in the Caribbean beachfront restaurant strip. One of our favorites is "La Parrilla".

Take a surfing lesson right at La Pared Beach. There are multiple surf schools located on this beach and it is a 5 minute walk away from the apartment.  

Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 10 minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship.

Spend a day in Old San Juan. Luquillo Beach Flat is a 45 min drive away from the oldest city in all of the US. There’s a lot of history to be seen and great food and drinks to be had.

Charter a boat from Fajardo. There are many boats you can charter for day trips to neighboring islands and coral reefs. You can choose from large boats that sell tickets or smaller boats you can rent out for private trips with a captain.



Other Things to Note:

STARTER AMENITIES



At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay.



All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach towel per guest.



We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include:



- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom)

- 3 garbage bags

- 1 roll of paper towels

- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom)

- 1 dish soap

- 1 dish sponge



Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay.



Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation.





HOUSE RULES



RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed.



NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated.



NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property.



QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors.



UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable.



MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 6 adults/children at all times, including visitors.



OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund.



TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items.



TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated.



SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted.





CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES



Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that.



If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule.



If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival.



Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you.





TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON



We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues.



Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase.

The place was just as nice as in the photos, actually, better than the photos. The ocean is so close and there's a fabulous view from the patio. Beautiful palm trees, lovely breezes, beach to walk on for miles. I appreciated all the beach towels and beach chairs, and even noodles for swimming. Thank you!

Fantastic Experience

We had a fantastic experience at the Luquillo Beach Flat! From the start, our host Paola was incredibly communicative and helpful, making the check-in and check-out process smooth and stress-free.The flat itself is beautiful and exactly as described — clean, spacious, and best of all, right on the beach. Waking up to the sound of the waves and stepping out to that view every day was unforgettable.The location is also perfect. You're just a short walk from great local restaurants, a food truck park/food court, bars, and unique specialty shops. Everything you need is close by, but the area still feels peaceful and relaxed.Overall, this was a great experience and a perfect beach escape. I would definitely stay here again in the future and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, convenient, and relaxing spot in Luquillo!

Wonderful vacation spot

We had a wonderful stay at this flat in Luquillo! The location was perfect, right on the beach and walking distance to the town for meals. The views were as pictured, even better actually. Every morning we woke up and had coffee on the patio to amazing beach views. The beach there was great and easy walk to other beaches that was surrounded by tropical plants. Nice and quiet location where you can enjoy Mother Nature yet be close to food and music. Easy access the the rain forest and frajado beaches also. Highly recommend staying here.

Perfect location for a family beach trip. The condo was just right. Boogie board outside the front door. Walk 2 minutes west for calm swimming. Really a gem. Lots of cheap food and some nice restaurants within a short drive.

Beautiful property! Super clean and the extra accommodations were greatly appreciated (beach towels, chairs, boogie board, cooler, etc.)The check-in process was a little bit of a hassle; however coming and going from the property consists of spending several minutes unlocking and relocking a series of doors and gates each time you wish to leave.The beach across the street is absolutely wonderful, especially if you walk to the far east side once the seaweed dissipates. Overall, a great spot at a good value!

Great Luquillo Stay

The property was as advertised. The apartment was very cleaned and included all necessary amenities. Very easy to get to as it was close to the main highway. Good restaurants nearby. The sleeping accommodations for 6 guests was perfect. Living room is a little small but adequate. Communications from the owner was excellent in all aspects for reservations, payments, check-in and check-out instructions, and ongoing. Paola was a pleasure to deal with. Would definitely recommend.

Would definitely rent here again. Access, upon check in was a bit tricky but manageable (at least during daytime hours). Loved the decor, VERY comfy, A/C was terrific. Many amenities provided. The location was exceptional. There were a couple of things that needed a little attention, otherwise Owner was responsive and welcomed the feedback. Fabulous stay

Great location, beautiful views and walking distance to beachfront restaurants.

Wish I could give 4 and a half stars. A great spot to call home while you explore PR. The views were great, there were some minor issues but the property manager was very accommodating. The patio area was very nice with a beautiful view of the beach. As there were four of us staying I would recommend seating out there to accommodate the guests.

Perfect Location for a great Vacation!

My family and I stayed for 5 nights, the condo was very clean and up kept. It was easy entry to the property and the host was responsive. The beach supplies provided were perfect! Would definitely stay again.

Overall a real nice experience. We had some issues after check in where the directions didn't match actual operation, but the host acknowledged that and said that was a recent issue. We also had a couple of issues with maintenance items that weren't working, but the host was gracious and responsive and I'm going to assume they were able to fix those after we left given our short stay there. They were only minor inconveniences though, so they didn't dampen our great experience.

Location!!!!!

There were six ladies ranging from 44 to 67 staying in the unit. The kitchen was beautifully equipped with everything we needed from silverware to blender to coffee pot. We also had chairs to go to the beach and a cooler which made it so handy. It is a little tricky to understand the entry procedure and I’m not the first one to say that, but the location far outweighs anything else. You look out at the beach are probably 100 feet from your spot. It’s a very very safe area That we all felt comfortable being on the beach or running or whatever.

Lots of unexpected

We were not aware we would have a noisy construction site outside the windows. We could not sleep in or hear each other talking during the day with the noise. We left the house one day to get away from the noise. The locks are rusted and hard to open. The rain cannot be controlled but we planned to be at the beach, reason for the location. But the place had a gas smell near the kitchen. Not sure if it was neighbors or other guest but fighting outside also disturbed sleep. In the queen bed room, loose tile is a tripping hazard. It would have just been nice to be aware of the things. Put some space in between the thousands of steps of check in. It was a lot to keep up with but space would have helped find the instructions back to back.
