Reach the resort easily from the capital of Belmopan 29 miles east, enjoy the distinct global character of San Ignacio three miles east, and plan easy day trips to Cahal Pech (four miles east), Xunantunich (10 miles south), Actun Tunichil Muknal (22 miles east), and other renowned Mayan ruins.

Built in 2009, this riverfront resort is an ideal blend of modern amenities and old-world Caribbean charm. Lovely hotel on the river. But the best part was Jose and staff. He/they did everything possible to make our stay special. I think the bedding could use an upgrade, but all else was perfect. Rico’s restaurant on site served excellent food.

I cannot express enough how hospitable they were. The hotel was clean, the room was comfortable and the food was delicious. The view along with the roar of the river was amazing. . Our hosts and the entire staff made us feel welcome and helped us book our day trips. It’s a little diamond in the rough and a great location for all that Cayo has to offer.

End to end wonderful service. Great location. Only stayed two days. Could’ve stayed a month. The staff and the owner are who I really want to brag about. You know, it makes a huge difference when the staff is constantly checking in to make sure that you have a good experience and they did that here. Friendly, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend this place.

The property is absolutely beautiful with views of the river and access to water. Rooms were clean and staff took extra care to fold towels and lay flower petals in words on the bed. The staff is remarkablly kind and attentive.
