After reviewing the property photos and seeing many excellent reviews, we expected a new, high-quality place, but we were very disappointed with our stay.1) The listing says, “Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees,” and we already paid the two pre-stay payments that included all listed charges. However, after we checked out on 12/25, the host requested additional cleaning fees on 12/26, even though we followed the checkout directions and left the property clean. We reported this to VRBO customer service, and they told us we aren’t obligated to pay because we already paid for the booking and the added charge was post-stay, but the host still refuses to remove the fee and it remains on our account.2) The kitchen oven looked old and was very dirty when we tried to use it.3) There was mold on the floor around the outside of the shower in the master bedroom restroom, which created an unpleasant, unhealthy smell.4) In the master bedroom restroom, the jetted bathtub was not clean so my family didn’t use it, and in all three bathrooms the toilet seats were unstable and would shift to one side when sitting.5) The two downstairs bedrooms had no thermostat or way to adjust the heat (only the main floor did), so the downstairs area stayed very cold for the family members sleeping there.
