Welcome to Riverside Hacienda! Nestled in the banks of the Arkansas River, this spacious and private riverfront oasis is just what you need for your vacation 'base camp'.
Located in the ♥️ of downtown Salida, you will be just footsteps away from all of the best things this city has to offer.
From river fun, kayaking, rafting, tubing, fishing, hiking, biking, to shopping, galleries, coffee shops, sampling local eats and brews and enjoying live music, to skiing at Monarch (only 25 minutes away), ice skating, snowmobiling, and so much more.
Play hard all day, then come home and relax, sip on your favorite beverage while soaking in the hot tub in the courtyard. Or sit back and enjoy the Arkansas River while listening to sounds of water rushing by.
Riverside Hacienda proves to be perfect for entertaining & enjoying time with family and friends! Location! Location! Location!

**** PLEASE NOTE that this such an amazing location and is booked a lot. The owner’s want to enjoy it just as much as you! They have added a locked off studio onsite, but are rarely on the premise. It is a completely separate space. ****

The Riverside Hacienda is part of a duplex. If you have a large group and need more space, we also have the Frontside Hacienda (VRBO # 1128337) located on the front side of the property that may be available for your dates. Please let us know if you might be interested in booking both units together! Each hacienda has it’s own private enclosed courtyard.

Main Level:
-Enjoy the expansive & fully equipped kitchen with a great island dining table.
-The master suite includes a king bed, TV & private bath. Bring your sleeping bag to sleep on the deck or patio & stargaze as the sounds of the river lull you to sleep!
-The deck off of the kitchen overlooking the river has a gas grill for the nights you want to stay in and BBQ.
-The hot tub seats 4-6 people in the private courtyard with an outdoor dining area & indoor/outdoor bar window off of the kitchen.
-There are 2 cruiser bikes provided for guest use.
-The Riverside Hacienda does not have A/C.

Lower Level:
-First bedroom in the lower level has a TV, 2 queen beds & 2 twin beds.
-Second bedroom in the lower level has 2 double beds.
-Full bath.

Separate Suite (Main Level):
-Accessed from the courtyard, the suite has one bedroom with a king bed and another captive room with 2 twin beds and, & full bath to accommodate 4 guests.
-Laundry closet.


The Riverside Hacienda has a total of 10 beds.

Riverside Hacienda is a dog friendly home! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs with prior approval, pet policy agreement and a nonrefundable fee of $100/stay.

Toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, trash bags, coffee filters as well as face, hand, & bath towels are all provided.

Amazing location and lovely house

We’ll be back! 10 of us stayed three days to do some mountain biking - which was great. The house location on the river is so cool and the terraced courtyard and hot tub were icing on the cake. Would highly recommend.

Incredible location

Can't beat the location right on the Arkansas in Salida. Exit out a gate from the lovely backyard right onto the river trail and you're a few hundred feet from multiple bars and restaurants with live music. Woke up to a kayaking competition outside on the river and watched it from the balcony with coffee. Plenty of room for parking 4 cars and no issues checking in or with any of the amenities. Would definitely recommend!

Love this house, it is perfect for a big group to spread out and enjoy time together. We had a great time walking downtown and enjoying the river!

This property is a gem! From the moment we entered the gate until we left we could not stop talking about it and plan to come back next year. Everything is well thought out and comfortable. And that we could walk to downtown in just a block was such a great plus.

Fantastic Family Celebration

My daughter got married at the courthouse. This is were the family celebrated the marriage - her pick. Absolutely amazing location. Walking distance to almost everything. Mountains so close. The house was very current in decor and amenities. Yard was very private with a hot tub. Host was very accommodating - thank you very much.

Amazing!

My family stayed at the Frontside Hacienda two years ago and had to return! This time we brought our extended family and stayed in the Riverside Hacienda. There was a total of 14 people ranging in age from 8-72. Everyone had the best time! Out of all of Salida, this property has the best location. Walking distance to great restaurants, grocery store, walking path, shopping, park, and river activities. We had an amazing stay and look forward to our next visit.

Riverside Hacienda

We've stayed here the last two summers. Great location and plenty of room. All of our favorite restaurants and activities are just steps away. Nice to have hot tub and courtyard.

Perfect Spring Break Getaway

This property was an excellent choice for our whole extended family who came to town for a ski week at Monarch. The place has plenty of spaces for everyone to sleep and the separate suite was great for my in-laws to be able to have a bit more quiet while the rest of the kids (ages 7-13) ran around the main house. We have stayed here before with other friends and we are very likely to be back again!

Beautiful Location

This property is in a beautiful location. The sound of the Arkansas river below can't be beat! And the walk along the river to restaurants is beautiful as well. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen was well furnished. We'll be back!

My son’s Wedding

Everything about this place was perfect for my family from out of town to see the beauty of Salida and have access to every event we planned. What was so perfect is the grand children and I and 2 Aunts stayed in the big house and the two nieces with her husbands had the suite attached. It couldn’t have been more perfect, everything is so beautiful inside and lots of things for the grandchildren to do . I would love to come back just to have a reunion and all the beautiful memories that were created in this lovely place. Thank you, Kristan❤️

Best location in Salida

Whether you are there to enjoy the town, float or mountain bike this property is perfect. Close to everything yet feels secluded. This was or second time renting here and we will be back for a 3rd.

Even better than last time...

Upgrades have been made since our stay several years ago. Everything went smooth and it is the best house for a lot of kids/close friends. The location doesnt get any better. The kids would run in the river, than jump in the hot tub, then go to the skate park, back in the river, etc etc. Lots of great bars/restaurants for the adults to enjoy as well.

Convenient & Cool!

No better location to stay in Salida with easy access the river, shops & dining. Our group loved the set-up with private rooms for all. We spent time on the deck watching the paddlers & the hot tub warming up after a rafting trip. Fully stocked with anything you’ll need including small touches like blow dryers & toiletries. We hope to be back next year!

Family reunion

We tucked ourselves into 3 bedrooms with 2 baths and then late in the visit we realized there was a whole other section with 2 more bedrooms and 1 one more bath. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
