"As we walked in the building just smelled old. When we got to our room there were small bugs climbing up the side of the shower. I pulled back the sheets from the bed and there were multiple items directly on the mattress like a used tissue, pop tab, and a sock. Wr actually left a night early rather than pay for another hotel."

"Room- Clean, a/c worked well. Sink smelled from the drain pipe. Also, ask for more towels for more than 1 day stay. Staff- Kitchen, guy didn't speak english. Just point to what needs replenishment. They have 2 coffee dispensers that grind whole beans per cup, no option. You're stuck with black, or adding half-n-half or 2 coffe mate pump flavorings. Slow system lines up the breakfast goers. Limited items, no milk containers for the kiddies. Did have yogurt and bananas. Shops- check on maps...

"there was no room cleaning, the ice is a floor down from the lobby, but the location to the Gettysburg battlefield and associated fields and memorials can't be beat. Prepare for a little less in amenities but a superior location to the attraction"

"We stayed in the General George Meade room which was located in the Main House- a key location next to the pantry (espresso & Keurig coffee, teas, treats...) and a half bath near pantry (key if you need an extra bathroom!) and lobby and kitchen. The room was spacious, very clean, soft towels, and COMFORTABLE BED, good size shower, great shower head pressure, 2 pillow types to choose from, LOVELY decor and "peace and quiet" only 2 miles from downtown. "This was the first time I’ve stayed at a Bed and Breakfast. It’s in a high traffic area in Gettysburg—Baltimore Street near the intersection with Steinwehr Ave so there is some traffic noise, especially from motorcycles. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The check in/check out process was different than what I’m used to or expected. They want you to call ahead to get your door code but the number went to an answer machine. Expedia sent me a message, but it had the wrong code. Thankfully...

"We visited Gettysburg during a heatwave and the hotel was cool and comfortable all night. It was very helpful to have check in parking at the front entrance so we could register and then head to the nearby parking garage- especially as it was so hot and crowded in town. Our room was clean and spacious and cool at check in! I also really like the scan code to tip the cleaning crew- very convenient!"

"The king bed was so hard and uncomfortable. Room had a 19 inch tv with no microwave. I was there July 4th weekend and 2 of the 3 elevators were not working. Breakfast was terrible including the coffee. I was there at 8:30 and the buffet was empty. The staff was amazing"
