"The Beach Hotel is a social enterprise run by the YMCA as an apprenticeship scheme. In light of this we had quite modest expectations for our stay. But these were misplaced - the hotel is spotlessly clean, and run by professional, welcoming staff. The occasion was a large family reunion, and the restaurant served us all with a good simple dinner in an efficient and timely way. Service was excellent. "Newly refurbished rooms were really nice, comfortable and well equipped. The hotel is also a bar/pub/restaurant. We ate at the restaurant and the food was decent. There was entertainment in the evening which was loud and we were concerned that it might disturb our sleep, but once back in the room, we couldn’t hear it. There is unrestricted public parking opposite the hotel."

"Brief one night stay whilst we attended a concert. Brilliant location - 5 minute walk to stadium! Great pub 30 seconds away! Rooms aren’t en- suite but there are plenty of bathroom facilities in the property it wasn’t an issue. Nice basic breakfast available in the morning which was plenty of choice available."
