Situated a little more than an hour from Baton Rouge and New Orleans, we were able to visit both cities and retreat to the quiet castle at night. "I echo all the 10/10 reviews. We too brought our e-bikes and took several wonderful rides around old Mandeville. The bike trails are the best I’ve ridden. Lake Pontchartrain shoreline is a short stroll away, and there are many nearby eateries and watering holes to experience. The cottage is awesome. The photos in the listing don’t do it justice. It was perfect for our stay."

"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage near Lake Pontchartrain, LA! The home was perfect for visiting family—cozy, well laid out, and incredibly charming. We especially loved the setup of the house, the peaceful backyard, and the amazing ice maker (a small touch that made a big difference!).The location couldn’t have been better—we were within walking distance to the lake, great restaurants, and coffee shops like Sweet Olive.Thank you, Kelly, for your quick responses and hospitality....

"Creek is moving water so hardley any mosquito. Coldest creek in LA perfect for toddlers to play in the shallow water. Lots of small fish for kids to catch. The house has the essential for cooking pots pans etc. Because your 20mins from a McDonalds dont believe google when it says 10 mile. We came to LA to see family in the area. Would come back to this place when we come back to LA. "
