Just minutes from downtown Sandpoint, this extraordinary 8,800-square-foot estate was designed for bringing people together—whether you're planning a family reunion, corporate retreat, milestone birthday, anniversary celebration, ski vacation, or simply an incredible week at the lake with friends and family.

From the moment you arrive, Villa Z feels like a private resort. Expansive lawns stretch toward the lake, while floor-to-ceiling windows frame breathtaking water and mountain views. Mornings begin with coffee on the patio as the lake sits perfectly still, and evenings end around the waterfront fire pit, watching the sunset reflect across the water while sharing stories with family and friends.



The private shoreline is one of the home's most treasured features. With 156 feet of waterfront, a dedicated dock with boat lift, paddleboards, kayaks, and a wide sandy beach, guests can spend entire days enjoying the lake without ever leaving the property. The spacious lawn provides plenty of room for volleyball, badminton, croquet, or simply spreading out and enjoying the fresh North Idaho air.



Inside, contemporary architecture and carefully curated furnishings create an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and welcoming. The dramatic wave-wall fireplace anchors the main living area, inviting guests to gather for conversation, cocktails, or movie nights. A hidden 65-inch television rises from custom cabinetry when it's time to catch the game, then disappears when the focus shifts back to the company around you.



Entertaining comes naturally at Villa Z. The distinctive sunken bar, complete with a pony keg tap and ice machine, creates a natural gathering place for evening cocktails and celebrations, while the adjoining Brunswick billiards table often sparks friendly competition long into the night.



At the heart of the home is an exceptional chef's kitchen designed to handle everything from casual breakfasts to holiday feasts. Anchored by a professional Viking range, double ovens, warming drawers, and expansive quartz and granite countertops, the kitchen provides ample space for multiple cooks to work comfortably together. An oversized butler's pantry tucked behind the main kitchen offers additional preparation and cleanup space, making large-group entertaining surprisingly effortless.



With seven bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms, Villa Z comfortably accommodates large groups without sacrificing privacy. The main-floor primary suite offers a peaceful retreat complete with a sitting area and accommodations that work particularly well for families traveling with young children, including a crib, toddler bed, and sleeper sofa. Also on the main level are a private office, a Queen Murphy bed sleeping room, and a dedicated gear room equipped with a commercial-grade boot and equipment dryer.



Upstairs, guests will find four beautifully appointed bedrooms along with one of the home's most memorable spaces: the legendary Z Zone. Designed with kids, teens, cousins, and grandkids in mind, this oversized bunk and entertainment suite features three Queen beds, three Twin XL bunks, individual cubbies with charging stations, and a large 75-inch Smart TV. It quickly becomes the favorite gathering place for younger guests and creates memories they'll talk about long after the vacation ends.



No matter the season, Villa Z places guests at the center of everything that makes North Idaho special. During the summer, spend your days boating, swimming, paddleboarding, hiking, and exploring the lake. In winter, Schweitzer Mountain Resort—Idaho's largest ski area—is just 17 miles away, making Villa Z the perfect luxury basecamp for skiing and snowboarding adventures. Families will also appreciate being less than 30 minutes from Silverwood Theme Park and Boulder Beach Water Park.



To enhance guest comfort, Villa Z is equipped with a state-of-the-art whole-home HEPA filtration system designed to help remove airborne bacteria and viruses throughout the property.

Villa Z is truly one of Sandpoint's most distinctive luxury retreats—offering an unmatched combination of waterfront access, privacy, upscale amenities, and gathering spaces designed for creating lifelong memories.



Please Note: Villa Z is intended for vacation stays, family gatherings, and retreats. It is not an event venue and cannot accommodate weddings or large receptions. No pets are permitted due to severe owner allergies. Exterior security cameras are installed for property security.



**NOTE:  Each year, on September 18th OR the 3rd Sunday in September (whichever is later), the Army Corps of Engineers begins dropping the water level of Lake Pend Oreille until ultimately reducing it by a total of 10-12 feet.  Around the 4th week in September ALL boat docks and boat lifts on the lake become inaccessible and unusable, as the water completely recedes back from the shoreline leaving just bare ground beneath the docks.  The agreement with the Army Corps of Engineers states the lake level must be restored to full pool level each year no later than July 4th, however, the last 10+ years the lake water has been at full pool level around the 2nd or 3rd week in June.



Guest Access:

You'll receive an email 7 days prior to arrival and a text message 2 days prior to arrival with a Guest Guidebook. This will have the property's address, access code for door lock or lockbox location, WiFi information and area recommendations.



The Neighborhood:

Located less than 2 miles down Lakeshore Drive, this estate is on 3 acres of flat waterfront with privacy, huge beach and ample parking.



Getting Around:

We recommend either renting a car or a bike to get around. Lakeshore drive requires you to cross long bridge before you can get into downtown Sandpoint.
