Amazing Stay with a View Over the Rooftops of RomeWe had a wonderful stay at this beautiful holiday home! Everything was just perfect. The house was very well equipped, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing time.The location was absolutely stunning — situated above the rooftops of Rome, it offered breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere, yet was still close enough to explore the city and the wonderful surounding area easily.Our host Gherardo was incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help and made us feel right at home. Top accommodatie

Het huis was perfect. Schoon, netjes, alles aanwezig. Adembenemend uitzicht. Zwembad voor de kinderen was perfect! De eigenaar was heel vriendelijk. Ik zou het zeker nog een keer boeken. Treinverbinding naar Rome is ca. 50 minuten, inclusief auto naar montobello station en vandaar de treinreis. Bedankt voor alles Gherardo!

Amazing Italian vacation!

Loved staying at this villa - very easy to get to Montebello train station for a quick train to Rome, did a day trip via car to Amalfi coast, and then did a relaxing villa day exploring the town and swimming. Loved the local restaurants too. Villa easily fit our family of 5 and hosts were great.

Spectacular view

When we arrived I have to admit I was not prepared for the hill but we soon got used to them . Gherardo met us at the gates of the property and was so welcoming , he was friendly and showed us around the property. The photos can't do this place justice . The grounds which are impeccably maintained . I was really surprised on how spotless the whole property is including the pool area . The chairs on the front porch of the villa range from a outside eating area with table to a bench with cushions and comfortable lounging chairs so we spoilt for choice as to where we could sit . The pool area had chairs and sun beds and fantastic huge parasol that could shade the pool which was great as it was around 35 degrees every day we were there . The pool was clean and again the grass area was beautiful and so well maintained . The inside of the villa was amble with a big sitting room and dining table .The sofas were comfortable, the air con in the property was well neededed and very good as it kept us cool in this heat wave . The kitchen area had everything we needed and there was not a thing we really needed to bring apart from food . Most sundries had been provided including toilet roll , sponges for washing up but there was a dishwasher and washing machine which was very handy . The bedrooms were spotlessly clean , the beds were so comfortable. I can't praise this place enough , the views were breathtaking and we will miss it . We have fallen in love with Italy . Thank you

Sacrofano villa

We arrived atthe villa a little earlier than expected but Gherado was there to greet us and it wasn't a problem. There are a couple of steep inclines close to the villa, one in particular, definitely needs to be taken in first gear.The view is absolutely stunning and while ww stood and admired it Gherado pointed out the supermarket and a couple of restaurants. The villa was immaculately clean and had everything we could possibly need. There were 4 large bottles of water in the fridge whigh was very welcome in the heat. Hand soap, washing up liquid and dish washer tablets were supplied which, in our experience, is unusual. We had a couple of small problems but Gherado or Sarah sorted these extremely quickly. Nothing was too much trouble and they were always happy to answer questions concerning directions or local areas.I only have one suggestion, the sunbeds around the pool were quite flimsy and not particularly comfortable but this, in no way, would stop us from returning.

Simply wonderful

From the first communication with Gherardo to the checkout a wonderful experience. He was so flexible and welcoming, left us all the privacy we wanted! Thank you!! The accomodation was as described and equipped with everything you could ask for. Spotlessly clean, too! The outside with a wonderful terrace and garden and the lovely pool are fantastic. A gated entrance gives you complete privacy - and the views onto Sacrofano and Rome are nothing short of spectacular! 10/10! Highly recommended!

Sacrofano

We had great time Gherardo’s place in Sacrofano, a lovely medieval town. A short drive to the train station then a short train journey into Rome for a bit of tourism. A lovely pool and a great view. Gherardo was great with any info we ask him for. 10/10

Erholsamer Kurzurlaub

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in Sacrofano bei Gherardo wirklich sehr genossen. Sofort vom ersten Augenblick an fühlten wir uns heimisch und sehr gut aufgenommen. Dazu trug im Wesentlichen die freundliche, unkomplizierte und aufgeschlossene Art des Vermieters bei. Gherardo hat uns auch in dieser Woche mit zahlreichen Informationen was Zugverbindungen, Wanderrouten und Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung von Sacrofano versorgt. Die Wohnung entsprach voll und ganz unseren Erwartungen, war sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir konnten einen unbeschwerten und erholsamen Urlaub verbringen und kommen sehr gerne bald einmal wieder hierhin.

Rome for the Ryder Cup

Amazing property with spectacular views. Our host was fantastic. Getting to the house the first time is an adventure, but the town that sits below is cute with very cool stores and shops. It is a 15 minute drive to the train station and then another 20-25 minutes and you are in the middle of Rome. We are thinking about coming back with our younger kids in a year or two, just an incredible vacation and place to stay

Fabulous stay close to Rome

My stay at Gherardo's in Sacrofano was simply exceptional. From the outset, Gherardo’s hospitality set a high standard for our visit. The accommodation is pristine, well-decorated, and filled with all the amenities you could wish for, making us feel right at home. What sets this location apart is its convenience. A 15-minute drive takes you to Montebello station, from where a direct train whisks you into Rome's heart. Haus mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht

Anfang August haben wir (3 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) die im unteren Geschoss sich befindliche Einliegerwohnung in Gehrardos Villa gemietet. Der Pool, mit ca. 4m Durchmesser und durchgehend 1,4m Tiefe, von dem man auch eine wunderschöne Aussicht genießen konnte, gehörte zur eigenen Nutzung. Trotz der hohen August-Temperaturen war es immer sehr angenehm im Haus, so dass wir kaum die Klimaanlage einschalten mussten. Zwei Schlafzimmer hatten einen eigenen Ausgang auf die Terrasse. Das Dritte Schlafzimmer befindet sich auf der anderen Seite des Hauses und hat ein eigenes Badezimmer. An allen Fenstern und Terrassentüren gibt es Fliegennetze . In der ganzen Wohnung sowie auch am Pool hatten wir immer gutes WLAN. Wir möchten dieses Anwesen allen wärmstens empfehlen. Es eignet sich sehr gut um Ausflüge nach Rom zu starten und danach die schöne Landschaft am Pool zu genießen. Einen riesen Dank an Gerhardo, der uns immer behilflich zur Seite gestanden ist.

Traumhafter Urlaub in schöner Umgebung

Wer die Unterkunft bei Gherardo und seiner Familie gebucht hat, kann sich auf einen sehr schönen Urlaub freuen. Die Villa ist hervorragend gelegen und bietet einen traumhaften Blick über Sacrofano und man kann in der ferne Rom sehen. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, mit allem ausgestattet und der Pool, wie in der Beschreibung angegeben, gehört einem völlig allein. Überhaupt - falls sich jemand Gedanken macht, dass der Vermieter im gleiche Haus wohnt, dem können jede Sorge nehmen. Gherardo ist da wenn man ihn braucht, ansonsten ist man völlig ungestört. Noch ein paar nützliche Hinweise - Neben den hier schon oft beschriebenen Besuche in Rom per Bahn, möchte wir auf jeden Fall das Umland empfehlen. Die Villa Gregoriana ist ebenso einen Besuch wert, wie der See Lago di Bracciano. Fahr hier am besten zum Ort Lido Dei Cigni, dort kann man gut parken und ist direkt am Strand. Als Supermarkt hat uns im Ort der Todis Supermarkt am besten gefallen, hier sind auch die Preise ok. Und denkt dran - viele Pizzerien machen erst um 19:30 Uhr auf. Zusammengefasst hatten wir einen spitzen Urlaub und wünschen allen die nach uns kommen viel Spaß. Mit der Buchung dieser Wohnung habt ihr schonmal alles richtig gemacht.

Villa Close to Rome

We had a wonderful family vacation close to Rome and it was easy to get into the city. One of the bedrooms had a window with no view, you looked into a wall. The pool was well maintained as were the grounds. Gherardo was very knowledge of the area and responsive to our requests. There are some things that could use updating for example: hangers in the closets, towel racks, new linen and a faster internet conection.

Beautiful property with the most amazing views

When we arrived at the property we were truly amazed by the size of the grounds and villa. The listing just does not do this property justice and it far exceeded our expectations. We have traveled to many different places and the far reaching beautiful views where by far the best we have ever had. Gherardo our host welcomed us with open arms and was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Gherardo has some lovely dogs that live on the property however they have their own space much to our disappointment as we absolutely loved Bianco and loved seeing him and getting

Excellent stay in Sacrofano!

We had a wonderful time here. The host gave us a warm welcome and was very helpful. He even offered to buy groceries for us as we arrived on a Sunday. The appartment was spacious and nice with a beautiful garden and a amazing view over the charming village. We'd love to come back and probably will. :)

Parfait !

La résidence : - propre - confortable - piscine traitée naturellement et bien plus grande que ce que l'on pense en voyant l'annonce - une superbe vue sur Rome et le village. Les propriétaires très sympathiques, discrets et dévoués Sacrofano est une superbe petite ville animée avec beaucoup de restaurants. vous y trouverez une ambiance authentique vous serez immergé dans la vie italienne mélange de traditions, de partages et de respect inter générations. Idéal pour aller à Rome Gare à 10 minutes parking 1,5 € par jour puis train 3€ allez retour. 20 minutes de train. nous avons passé un super séjour. Nous conseillons vraiment ce lieu.

So nah an Rom und doch so ruhig und erholsam

Das Anwesen ist in komplett eingerichtet und in einem Topzustand mit viel Liebe zu Details. Ein dickes Kompliment an die Vermieter. Bei den wenigen Fragen, die auftauchten, waren sie stets zur Stelle und halfen mit Rat und Tat. Selbstversorger finden alles in Sacrofano oder nahegelegenen Supermärkten. Perfect Holiday

We simply cannot rate our holiday with Gherardo highly enough - quite simply it was the perfect family vacation. The property itself is incredible - clean, spacious, well equipped and with views of Sacrofano, and in the distance, Rome. It is also well located to access the local area, including Rome in under an hour. Gherardo was the perfect host, going out of his way to ensure that we had a relaxing stay. It’s the people that make a holiday, and Gherardo and his family helped make ours. We would definitely recommend and definitely hope to return one day.
