When I tried to take a shower, scalding hot water came out — hot enough to burn my skin. I tried to figure it out myself, searching around the room for some way to fix it. I waited standing there naked for several dozen minutes, thinking it might resolve itself in a few minutes, but it never did, so I called the front desk. An engineer was sent to deal with it. In the meantime, I told the front desk I wanted assurance about compensation for my stay and asked how I was supposed to shower. The response from a female staff member — Noi — was shockingly high-handed and aggressive. Completely unacceptable. "If you want a refund, talk to your booking agent." "It's only been 5 minutes since you called the front desk, don't make a fuss." "We're working on it right now, just wait." No alternative was ever offered, like showering in a different room — nothing. I was simply yelled at, aggressively, the whole time. Is a broken shower somehow the guest's fault? Why should I, who did absolutely nothing wrong, be made to feel this way? It makes no sense to me. I was truly shocked that not a single word of apology was offered.
