  • Mermaid Cottage es una acogedora casa de campo del siglo XVIII situada en la histórica calle empedrada de Mermaid en la ciudad medieval de Rye, perfecta para una escapada relajante lejos de todo. Mermaid Cottage está a sólo cinco minutos a pie de la estación de Rye. El aparcamiento está al lado de la estación por £ 2 por día. Mermaid Cottage acaba de reabrir después de la renovación.

    Ubicado en la parte superior de Mermaid Street, sales a la calle adoquinada o te sientas en la ventana de la bahía y ves pasar el mundo.

    Una de un par de casas de campo situadas en la parte superior de la histórica calle adoquinada dentro de la ciudadela de Rye.

    La cabaña duerme cuatro. Cuenta con un comedor separado y cocina independiente. También hay un bonito patio con mesa y sillas, perfecto para cenar al aire libre.

    La cabaña no es adecuada para niños muy pequeños o personas con problemas de movilidad debido a las escaleras empinadas. Tenemos una política de no fumar o vapear y no se permiten mascotas.

We stayed at Mermaid Cottage for a week at the beginning of July. We arrived by train, and the cottage was within easy walking distance from the station. There were also buses departing nearby to various beaches, which was very convenient for us.The house had everything we needed, including comfortable beds, fans, and a well-equipped kitchen. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the bed linen and towels were of excellent quality.Communication with Clare was outstanding. She helped us with many different things and was always quick to respond to any questions.We highly recommend staying here!

Perfect family cottage to explore Rye and surroundings

We spent lovely weekend in Rye staying in this cosy and comfortable cottage in the perfect location on Mermaid Street, close to the restaurants and bakeries on the High Street, and the fabulous Kino cinema.

Fabulous stay at Mermaid Cottage

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mermaid Cottage.During my stay I needed to work, but sitting at the desk overlooking the cobbles of the iconic Mermaid Street made all the difference! Thank you Clare for a great stay, I will be back!

Long weekend in Rye

Perfect location in the middle of the old town with everything in walking distance. Lovely cottage with the feel of a home from home. Will be visiting again!

An attractive, well equipped, beautifully sited cottage at the top of Mermaid St., the heart of the old town. Clare was a charming , attentive host who offered excellent advice on activities and restaurants.

Easter Break - wonderful

We loved staying in Mermaid Cottage. An ideal place in the centre of Rye. Rye is full of places to eat and drink and great walks from the doorstep. The cottage was clean and comfortable with a lovely Easter goody bag on our arrival. We are looking forward to returning.

Beautiful Rye

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful little cottage. It was well equipped and very comfortable. The owners were extremely helpful and welcoming . The cottage was in the perfect location, such a pretty little street and it was very easy to walk into the centre of Rye.. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Very nice cottage, nice littletown

Although the weather was quite ugli, we had a good time , more in the pubs and restaurant than in the fields and at the sea;)

Weekend at Mermaid cottage

The property was lovely and suited our party of 3 adults perfectly. It is situated at the top of the most picturesque street in town, close to all the restaurants and a great base to explore the area. Clare was a wonderful host and the goody bag on arrival was very welcome.

Wonderful, comfortable, cozy home-from-home

Clare is very welcoming, and provides a warm and personal service. The cottage is lovely and a perfect cozy home from home. It is thoughtfully furnished and decorated to make the most use of the space and feel like a home instead of a bland characterless 'anywhere'. We have family in the area and they were extremely impressed too when they popped by the cottage!

The Gem of Rye

We had a fantastic stay in Clare’s beautiful property. The house is beautiful and in the beating heart of historic Rye. The host herself was unbelievably helpful and kind. It really felt like she wanted us to have the best holiday and went out of her way to ensure it happened! Would highly recommend.

Historical Mermaid Street Cottage in Rye

A well kept, historical cottage that gives you an idea of what living in a three story, fairly small, three story cottage is like. Wish we had had sunny weather to enjoy the darling back patio, but we got rain instead.

Wonderful cottage

This was my second time staying in the charming Mermaid cottage, the house is lovely and great for a all group of friends. It is near everything - trains, buses, restaurants and bars and it is on the prettiest street in Rye. Claire is a wonderful and kind host, she greeted us on arrival, left essentials (wine, coffee, milk) and quickly responded to all our requests - thank you, we really appreciated it! I predict a third visit

Quaint cottage in a perfect location

We had. a great week in this cottage which is perfectly and centrally located in the most lovely and historical street in Rye. The bedrooms are comfy and well - presented with nice quality bedding and curtains. The bathroom is pristine with lots of hot water. Clare was very efficient, friendly and helpful, providing useful information about the property and the surrounding area. We would have rated the cottage 5 overall but we found the seating in the living room quite hard and not very comfortable. Also for anyone who likes to cook on holiday the kitchen is very small and the cooker plates slow to heat up, so the property would best suit those who want to eat out more or have take aways. There is loads to do locally and the house is a great base from which to explore
