  • Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The wooded property provides maintained walking trails for plenty of wildlife viewing pleasure and exercise. The property also features a swimming pond.

    Location is 8 miles from Lincoln State Park and Lincoln Amphitheater. 10 miles from Interlake State Off Road Recreation Area. 13 miles from Holiday World. 30 miles from Evansville casinos.
    The space
    The guest house contains a queen and twin beds at one end of the facility, two vanity bath between that end and the end with living and kitchen area.
    Guest access
    Lots of parking, ideal for vehicles with trailers, campers.
    Other things to note
    This setting has it all...your own dedicated 13 acres of woods, with maintained trails, one acre pond for swimming, fishing (catch and release), and wildlife viewing. The owner/operator is happy to assist and make suggestions, on site full time.

Great country getaway for us and the dogs with beautiful property to explore. Host was very helpful, flexible, and quick to communicate when we had some possible delay and difficulties on our part. The cabin had everything we needed for a simple retreat.

The property was just what we were looking for. Quiet, out in the country, with walking trails and a pond to fish or swim in. We brought a trailer for our ATV (we were riding at the nearby Interlake SRA just a short distance away) and there was plenty of room for our trailer while we were there.Doug was a great host, gave us some ideas on places to eat and the nearby town of Boonville, has a neat downtown block with restaurants and shops.

Everything we could've asked for!

We had such a great stay, and our two dogs absolutely loved being able to go off leash, and Doug was so accommodating and friendly. The cabin was absolutely gorgeous, and very well kept! Will definitely stay again!

Peaceful reprieve

This was an amazing place to stay in between visiting Lincoln State Park and Holiday World. The location was very peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely return to this property; Doug was great to work with.

The sleeping area itself was beautiful. It has a full sized bed and two twin beds. If you are not straight and white you will be off put by the confederate and other very political flags hanging from the house in the driveway. We did find some bullet casings in the grave next to our car so if you have little ones you might not want to let them walk around by themselves. Doug was very kind. It should be noted that he does have a live bobcat in a caged enclosure on property outside of the location you will stay in. My daughter loved taking pictures of it and it is safe and secure in the enclosure. If you have children that would be afraid of that, just heads up. The pond is not flowing water of any sort, we saw one fish but the water was very stagnant so don't think of it as a place you would want to swim. The trail is very pretty and right on the property but if in season watch out for the ticks and wear preventative clothing. The bed was comfortable. There are two tvs inside with some streaming channels. The shower also had nice hot water and water pressure. The issue at hand is I went with my daughter to a funeral (age 15) and my 13 year old son decided to come last minute. The host was aware that i said this was a possibility. He sent me a request for 30 extra dollars saying you had to pay 30 extra per guest. So if you have more than one child with you, even though there are three beds and two couches, just know he is going to send a message asking for more

This place not only met expectations but exceeded them. The place was super clean and very homey. The host has very nice trail as well as a amazing fishing pond. Take full advantage of this location and too notch host

Great getaway!

We stayed at this cabin for a full week and had an amazing time. It was tucked away and on a beautiful piece of property. We drove to town (15-30 min depending on where we went) for some good restaurants and sightseeing. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Mr. Doug was a great host and we had everything we needed. Doug is such an awesome property manager! He made my stay feel like home and accommodated everything I needed! Gonna be staying here again next summer with the family! Much needed mom getaway was worth every penny! :)

The owner Doug was really nice and accommodating for us! We were on our motorcycle and were able to park it in the garage attached to the cabin making everything close and comfortable! He warned me about the deep gravel to make sure I knew about it before riding through it to the garage so that I was prepared because it does make riding a little more difficult but all was well and we had a great weekend! The concert we saw at Lincoln Amphitheater was only about 10 miles away so it was a short ride coming back in the dark thankfully!

Where do I start?! We were able to check ourselves in very late at night, which was very convenient for us. The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Clean and minimalistic. There were an abundance of towels and washcloths in the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was divine and the water stayed super hot for the duration of my showers without having to adjust the temp multiple times. The bed was extremely comfortable! I have had major spinal surgery, and most beds hurt my back, but this one was perfect! The only complaint we had was the lack of exterior lighting. Trying to find the cabin in the pitch darkness was a bit difficult. Communication with Doug was seamless and easy. He responded promptly and was super helpful. We will definitely stay here again if we visit the area in the future!
