Detect some treasure in the yard near the 150-year-old dogtrot-style antebellum home with the provided metal detector—you never know what pieces of history you might discover.
Wake up to pastoral views of grazing livestock, collect fresh eggs when available, and visit our friendly resident pot-bellied pigs. In spring, the property comes alive with colorful wildflowers and abundant birds. Summer evenings offer spectacular star-filled skies free from city lights, while autumn brings pecan harvesting and the beautiful colors of an East Texas fall.
Our location is the perfect home base for exploring the area's many attractions, including Cherokee Trace Drive-Thru Safari, Mission Tejas State Park, Caddo Mounds State Historic Site, Davy Crockett National Forest, the Texas State Railroad, historic Nacogdoches, Canton's famous First Monday Trade Days, and the Tyler Rose Garden. If you're visiting during the holidays, don't miss the magical Polar Express train ride—a favorite tradition for families.
The cozy Bunkhouse comfortably sleeps four guests, with additional sleeping available on the pull-out sofa. Inside you'll find a refrigerator, coffee maker, and toaster oven, while the fully equipped kitchen in the Cook House provides everything you need to prepare meals.
Guests have access to the Bunkhouse, Cook House, and swimming pool. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, making it easy to stay connected if needed.
Please note that this is a working ranch, so you may see livestock during your stay. The swimming pool is not heated and may be too cool for comfortable swimming after September. There is no lifeguard on duty, guests swim at their own risk, and the pool closes at dark.

To help us keep the property fresh and welcoming for everyone, smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere inside the buildings. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Guests who smoke indoors will be responsible for any cleaning or damage charges required to restore the space.
