The house was perfect, just as the pictures show. It was very well stocked. The property was beautiful and peaceful, we enjoyed sitting outside watching the sheep and chickens. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

It was fine. Only thing that needs addressing is the can opener that doesn't work.Only complaint was the owner on Sunday when we had been out for most of the day, 3.30pm 30 minutes after getting back, decided to mow the lawns around the house with a ride on mower for the next 2 hours!!! And it was definitely the owner as we saw him later moving his sheep. He would have had from 10am till 4pm the following day to mow the lawns. So not impressed. We paid good money, just to be disturbed.

We absolutely loved every minute of our stay! The home and property are stunning, set in a peaceful rural setting that truly felt like a home away from home. June and Greg were incredible hosts—so kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. With our daughter living in New Zealand, we know we’ll be back, and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. 5 STARS!!! Best modern farmhouse—roomy, clean, relaxing, gardens and grounds are perfection. The perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle. Ett helt fantastiskt boende. Vi bodde 4 vuxna och 2 barn i huset. Gott om plats både inne och ute. Stort plus för möjligheten att gå nära och klappa djuren som finns på ägorna. Bra utgångspunkt tilll många upplevelser som finns i närheten. Bra kommunikation med värden och enkel in och utcheckning. Tack för att vi fick möjlighet att hyra och vistas i ert fina hus.

We had a wonderful stay at Trissaro Lodge Farm House. The property is beautifully presented with stunning views, yet it’s so close to the centre of town. Parking was easy and everything we needed was right there on site. The house was spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. Communication from the owner was excellent. It was exactly what we needed for our extended family gathering. Highly recommended!

Very disappointed with how close the house was to a very busy main road not shown accurately on booking map. So noisy all night, impossible to sleep. Checked out after one awful night with a partial refund for our 7 night booking. But the home was lovely and well decorated with all one would need.

Fantastic rural property

Loved this little farmhouse. It has been nicely updated inside and is comfy cozy! There is a grocery within a short drive along with a few eateries. Nothing within walking distance, but that is part of the charm of this place. Our girls enjoyed petting the horses/cows on property.

Lovely farmhouse

A beautiful peaceful location and the best house on our trip from Auckland to Wellington. Our kids loved the animals and the beautiful bath out the back!

Farm Stay, close to Hamilton.

Old farm stay with comfortable beds and couches. The kids love talking to the cows and sheep. The house needed a good clean, the dryer was broken and there was washing left in the machine. The house is located on a main highway so lots of road noise.

A lovely house. Plenty of room for our family group of 8. Reasonably well equipped kitchen, beds were comfortable but pillows were a bit tricky. Close to town. We used the house as our base to visit Rotorua, Waitomo and Matamata.

Amazing Farm and Home

This property exceeded our expectations and was definitely a favorite part of our trip to New Zealand. We wanted to stay somewhere central to Hobbiton, Waikato caves and manu bay, but my kids were thrilled just to be at the house with the farm and the cozy, old-fashioned decor and animals and property outside. The home had great beds and kitchen. We loved learning a bit about the history of the home. The hosts were super friendly (next door) and accommodating. We loved visiting the blueberry farms nearby. We hope to be back someday!

Sika Show

We stayed at Trissaro Lodge as it was close to Mystery Creek which we were attending for the Sika Show. Our grandson was exhibiting antlers from a stag he shot on the farm. The property was super clean & very comfortable. A lovely atmosphere in the house & nice sunny deck. Instructions for finding the property could be more detailed as it’s on a very busy main road.

What a beautiful comfy home. Well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds, and good bathrooms. Set in a beautiful location, loved drinking my cuppa looking out the window at the serenity. For us it was a good location. June was quick to reply.

Took a group from the US living in Okinawa to see NZ and stayed 10 days. Tried to get a place centrally located to see Hobbiton, Hairy Feet hobbit area, and see central North Island both sides. This place allowed us to see everything and get everywhere in an hour or so. The only drawback was our visit in NZ winter. We are all from a hot tropical island and it was very cold outside. The house provided a couple of space heaters and had 2 wall A/C -heaters. Problem was the owners told us to turn them off while we were away sightseeing. So it was freezing when we returned late at night inside and did not really warm up until we were leaving the next day, so the house was cold always. Having open windows in the hall bathroom and no way to close them keep cold air always coming in - that toilet was unusable unless you like a freezing cold seat the entire time.
