"We were met on the ferry by chance by the lady that owned the house that we were staying in, she led us directly to the property and showed us round the house. The house was exactly as described, clean, tidy and very well equipped. The lady's husband worked on the ferry and on one occasion he phoned his wife and asked her to make sure we were going to arrive on time. The whole experience was perfect."

"Great apartment right in the centre of Kirkwall town. Literally in the alley few seconds to a bar serving food. Then the harbour front is seconds away Make sure you go into the Albert street car park stay left and turn into, usually a space outside the apartment can park for free. "We loved the cottage. It was perfect in every way and David was a great host, even helping us with our bags from the ferry. "

"The island and cottage were exactly what we needed. There was peace and quiet, which allowed us to slow down and breathe. The local residents we met were friendly and welcoming. The island needs a little investment but we really hope mass tourism doesn't ruin its tranquility."
