Situated a very short 8Km's from Rotorua CBD and far enough from the unpleasant sulphur smells and 1 Km away from Ngongotaha Shopping village.

Nestled into a quiet residential street the Lodge offers:-

6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with gas water heating and mains pressure.

Optional Self Contained Studio can be included.

A newly renovated separate studio is available at an additional charge.
Fully fenced with a studio layout , en-suite bathroom, Kitchenette with cooking facilities.
An ideal Couples or Grandparents Hideaway


The Lodge has the facilities you would expect to find in a property of this size and style.

There is plenty of off street parking available and a lockable garage and a house alarm to keep your property secure.

This is a large spacious property far from the well trodden tourist path.

Special conditions:
This property is situated in a very quiet private location .
We have had issues with some groups disturbing the neighbours at night so we now ask that there is no outside activity after 10pm.
Any noise does travel a long way on the lake, we are happy for you to continue your activities indoors with ranch sliders closed. The neighbours do have the property managers phone number and will contact her if this is not adhered to. No parties or stag dos are allowed, if these occur you will be asked to leave with no refund given.

Really lovely place, so much room and well equipped with everything you would need. Kayaks were great fun to take out on the lake and within short drive of Rotorua town centre.

Peaceful and serene

Intentionally designed home with space for both small and large groups. Comfortable beds, cozy nooks, and a warm fireplace made this property a home away from home for us. The views of the lake and wildlife are unparalleled. The hot tub is a nice opportunity and has such a great view on the deck. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We even managed to get out with the kayaks which was a gift with some drizzling July rain. The location is a touch away from the busy downtown area but remains accessible by a short drive and no sulfur smells like some other homes had as comments from other travelers.

Amazing place to stay

We had a wonderful time here... we had 13 stay over night and 21 visits thru out the day. The weather was wet and dreadful but the house was so warm.. the space was big enough for everyone to be happy and comfortable.. beautiful property great location.. the host was so helpfuland easy to talk to

The Perfect Spot

Great weekend at the perfect spot, had all of us checking our Lotto tickets hoping we had won so we could offer to buy the property. Facilities were well utilised, spa pool and kayaks and heaps of room for our very large family.

Early Easter Holiday

We loved everything about this property. We've stayed in a lot of holiday homes and this one was our favorite. Had everything you need and more highlight were the kayaks for the babies aged 4-8. Plenty of space for everyone

Peaceful place to land

Our group stayed here on our first nights in-country, and had various flight delays and other challenges. Nicky was very communicative and helpful as our arrival times changed more than once. The lakefront was a lovely calm quiet place to recover, watching the birds and sunset. The village of Ngongotaha itself, and the north side of the lake, are also calmer alternatives when Rotorua is a bit tourist-hectic. We would definitely stay here again.

Tarawera Ultra Trail Accommodation

Waikuta Lakeside Lodge was perfect for our large group of 12 people attending the Tarawera Ultra Trail event. The 6 bedroom and 4 bathrooms suited us just right. The large kitchen and a dining table big enough for us all to sit at and share stories after the race was just great. The outdoor spa went down a treat after the run as well. I would highly recommend the lakeside lodge for your next big group getaway.

Sensational stay!

This property is amazing!!! Location is wonderful and quiet. Lake front is spectacular! The house is equipped really well for large groups, really clean, cosy and all facilities were great. Use of the kayaks was an added bonus! Plenty of space for larger groups to have different zones to peel off to. The back deck was a highlight!! Fantastic view, lots of seating, BBQ was immaculate! We could not have been happier with our stay!!

This place was a dream!

If we ever get back to Rotorua, this will be where we want to stay again! We had a hard time leaving. Every morning waking up to the Rowers on the wide open lake with good coffee while sitting on a huge deck was something that we will treasure as a memory forever! The pictures and description in the listing don’t do this place justice. We all thought we had landed in heaven! The spacious family room was exactly what we needed for our big group and the windows - oh my! As I write this review, I want to go back! We loved everything about this property! And we were able to easily get to all our activities from here!

Everything we wanted and more!

Great water pressure, endless hot water, fluffy towels and kitchen knives that actually cut... this place has all the little details that make a difference. Our extended family group of 9 found the lodge perfect as a home base to explore the region, but also spent some time in the lodge enjoying the morning sun on the deck and the kids canoeing out front. It didnt matter what activity we did, it was always great to come home to a house that felt cosy yet had so much space! Would recommend for larger groups and families, and will definitely book again if we come back to Rotorua.

Lovely family house

Stayed here with family and had a great time. The place is lovely and peaceful. Close to various activities and attractions that Rotorua has to offer. I would definitely recommend the place to any big family.
