Great personalized service. Everything was wonderful! Mable’s breakfast and Danny’s lattes were the best ever! Highly recommend this place for being something out of the ordinary, a small and cosy bed and breakfast but with a 5 star hotel service.

Our hosts Danny & Mabel were highly attentive and their property is a wonderfully secluded villa amongst the vibrant landscape of Aotearoa New Zealand. Mabel’s morning breakfast is a delight with various fruits and jams all coming from the garden. The proximity to central Rotorua is also within a 15 minute drive. This location is highly recommended.

We are from Australia stayed for 3 nights. Breakfast were included and they were amazing with lots of options. Danny is a good barrister, Mabel is a good cook too. We also had our bed made and tidied every morning like hotel service. The hosts are very friendly and the house is very clean. Nice garden nice view

Mabel and Danny’s B&B is the best you can find in Rotorua if you are looking for a classic experience in pastoral country living during your visit to local natural and cultural attractions. The hosts are top notch professionals in hospitality services, yet offering uniquely old-time friendly warmth and personal attention to details. One of the most memorable times was enjoying the breakfast, exquisitely prepared by the hosts, in the sunny dining room with an idyllic view of spectacular backyard garden and distant fields. Absolutely recommended!

Exceptional. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Country Villa Estate. Danny and Mabel were fabulous hosts from the moment we arrived. We were met with a warm welcome before being shown to our very comfortable room which was beautifully decorated and with everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was superb with different options each day. Mabel is a true artist with her delicious breakfast offerings. Beautiful gardens, comfortable spaces to relax, a truly unique experience.

Heavenly slice of NZ

This B&B was like spending the night in the garden of Eden. It is run by two lovely professionally trained hospitality managers with experience at some of the worlds top hotel and resort companies Four Seasons, Intercontinental—you get the idea. Their historic home is nestled in a large garden filled with flowers, ornamentals and fruit trees. The room accommodation is charming and spotless but the best part was the gourmet breakfast and all the home Olaf’s goodies that Mabel and Danny offer. We had a gorgeous bowl of fresh fruit and homemade yogurt. Lots of cereal choices and toast with fancy homemade jams. But the fresh eggs, and avocado ham and cheese croissant was just over the top. Finish this feast with fresh coffee and fresh squeezed juice selection— awesome! It is located just outside Rotorua and the stars of the Milky Way shine bright. We can not recommend this property more enthusiastically. Thanks for a great and memorable stay.

The host and hostess were fantastic and accommodating. You could tell they were extremely proud of their property and it showed. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. The morning breakfast was exceptional with again great care taken in providing guests with variety and home made preserves. I would highly recommend this property.

This is truly five-star accommodation. The grounds themselves are worth a visit to this location. Our hosts also presented us with beautifully prepared breakfasts which were excellent and they accommodated all our dietary restrictions. We were in the upstairs suite and the room was quiet and the bed was comfortable.

Secluded quiet stay

We loved our stay at Country Villa Estate. The location is 10 mins drive from Rotorua main town, with no smell of sulphur. Mable made delicious breakfast for us every morning and Danny helped us with lot of recommendations to do around Rotorua and also booked our Maori evening experience which was wonderful.

Breakfast is superb. The owner couples are very professional and knowledgeable. Room, the common area, and the garden are very well maintained and decorated. One of the best B&B I've ever stayed in. If you are into relax getaway countryside villa stay, this is the place for you. On a side note, we've been told one may order a helicopter tour to White Island directly from the backyard. Would love to do that if time allow.

Best accommodation of our trip to New Zealand

Our stay in the Country Villa was probably the best estimate accommodation that we stayed in during our nine week trip to New Zealand. Everything was perfect, room, facilities and breakfast. The hosts went the extra yard to ensure everything was of five star quallity.

호스트분들이 굉장히 칠절하고 정원이 너무 예쁨니다 나는 로즈방에서 숙박을 하였는데 침대와 침구를 중요시 하는 와이프가 너무 좋와했습니다 침구는 깨끗하고 폭신하고 아늑합니다 아침에는 새 소리와 함께 눈을 뜨고 식당에 가면 호스트 내외분이 반겨 주시는데 아침 식사 정말 정성이 느겨집니다.너무 신선하고 건강해질것 같은 식사..그러나 배가 불러서 못 먹습니다. 아침 식사는 꼭하시길 강추합니다

A wonderful stay

We are a family with a 6 years old girl. We had a wonderful stay at Country Villa. The house is beautiful, the garden is huge and my girl enjoyed so much seeing different trees and flowers. The design of our room is very nice and the bedding is comfortable. Mable and Danny are super friendly and we enjoyed so much chatting with them. The breakfast were the best we have ever had in New Zealand. The eating flowers surprised me and I felt like eating breakfast at a five stars hotel. Also, it's the cleanest place to stay in New Zealand, also around the world. I highly recommend Country Villa to everyone and we would love to return in the very near future. Thank you again Mable and Danny >.<

Average stay, overpriced

The hosts were lovely, the grounds and venue are pretty but the room was tired. The bed was squeaky and uncomfortable, no tv in the room, no shampoo or conditioner only a men’s 2 in 1. I felt this was overpriced for a room in a house. I was also charged the double rate instead of the single and no refund was offered.
