"When we pulled up to Shady Rest we thought, "okay.." But when we got inside, we were blown away, because for the price of a hotel room we had an entire house! "Great spot, great house! Kitchen is well-stocked, very clean. Deck and dock are both fantastic (lots of morning sun!) It was everything we look for in a place on the lake.Definitely be prepared for stairs down to the water - we just took a cooler and a box of sunscreen, etc. down with us every morning and brought it back in the evening. Hosts communicated well. One of the beds shown in pictures is in the main living area and the queen bunk beds are in the loft. We would definitely stay here...

"The property is perfect for me and my husband and my 3 brothers and their spouses.This is the third year in a row we've stayed here and it's perfect for our reunion. The kitchen is well equipped for all of our cooking needs and the deck is a great place to enjoy the view of the lake and the beautiful sunset.The house is very clean and decorated beautifully. We had a very small problem our second day there but I called Nicole and she dealt with it immediately. She is the best!!"
