Roma visit June 2019

Great place and great location! The apartment was fantastic, the only minor comment is that the balcony was very small and faced into an interior courtyard for several buildings. But everything else was very nice and the hosts were helpful and very accessible. Location only a couple of blocks from the Spanish Steps was awesome.

Would stay here again

I loved everything. Except I’m a plant liver and the flowers on the balcony were on their last leg. I watered them but I’m sure they will go back to being neglected. The flowers are nothing like what was presented on VRBO

Nice apartment in a terrific location

We very much enjoyed our stay in the apartment. Our host, Ottaviano was very helpful and assisted us quickly in response to all our questions. The apartment was nicely appointed though the bathroom needs some updating (note this apartment has a tub but no shower). The air conditioning worked very well which we appreciated in the hot weather (95 degrees+ every day). We loved the roof top garden and enjoyed glasses of wine there every evening. Overall a very nice experience and a terrific Rome vacation.

Property was in fantastic location but.....

Overall the property looked tired and worn. The bath room cabinet needed a paint job and the tub needed some attention. The beautiful terrace in the photo had no greenery just empty flower pots. We found loose cigarette tobacco on the coffee table. Suggest owner get a new cleaning person as the floors, according to my bare feet, were dirty The kitchen was ok and well stocked. However, we had the strange feeling that this was someone’s grandmother’s house complete with dishes, glassware and old liquor bottles. They just moved grandma out. Would probably not stay here again.

Excellent across the board...location, space, facilities and proprietor

Our family was in Rome for a wedding and the location was a pivotal meeting place for organization. The size of the rooms as well as their appointments were clean and modern in a lovely Italian style. The flow of people was comfortable and the ac worked extremely well, as did all appliances during our extended stay.

Wonderful apartment

Great location. Patrizia is a wonderful host. She made us feel at home and provided, maps, restaurant recommendations and reservations. Great bed and charming little balcony. It was amazingly quiet for such a central location. We definitely would come back. A stand-up shower would have been nice, but this was certainly workable for us.

Localisation idéale a deux pas de la place d Espagne : Métro/boutiques/restaurants Quartier qui reste vivant la nuit. Grand appartement,climatisation,pas de vis à vis direct Hote extrêmement acueillante,Patrizia se met en 4 pour que votre séjour vous soit agréable.. Petit cadeau de bienvenue: produits locaux à disposition: pesto a la pistache,pâtes,etc...

Excellent location, large apartment, and great amenities

My wife and I stayed at the Condotti 21 Apartment the last week of August 2016. We arrived late (1 AM local time) due to our flight, but the owner's son was there to meet us. The late arrival cost an extra 50 euro, but we were happy to pay to have someone there to help us into the building. The location of the unit is approximately 2 blocks from the Spanish Steps on the main street. It's on the top floor of the building, and is serviced by staircase or a very small elevator that could fit 2-3 people max. The location is perfect as it's central to many attractions in Rome. There are a couple grocery stores within a few blocks of the unit, and plenty of great restaurants. Coming from the US, we highly recommend "Ginger" about 2 blocks away (on the street behind the unit) which specializes in breakfast, lunch, smoothies, sandwiches, and organic food. The unit itself is quite large, featuring two bedrooms, a living room, a full kitchen, and 1.5 baths. There is plenty of closet/storage space in the unit. The apartment had very nice decor and plenty of space for two couples or a small family. It was quite hot in Rome when we were there (~92F during the day and 80F+ at night) but the multiple AC units were nice to quickly cool a room. The bathroom is spacious and features two sinks, but there is no stand-up shower in the apartment, there is only a tub. There is also a separate half bath with toilet. The patio off the master bedroom is perfect for morning coffee or afternoon wine, enjoying the sounds of the street performers below (opera singers were common!) The kitchen is also very well-equipped with all the necessary appliances. Wi-Fi was available. Overall, it's a great unit for a very fair price considering the location. The owner (Patrizia) was very helpful throughout our stay as she stayed in the apartment next door. I believe she normally lives in the unit where we stayed. The unit was cleaned twice while we were there, with fresh towels and linens delivered for the bed and bathroom. In my experience this is uncommon for a vacation rental but was really nice. I have summarized the pros and cons below: Pros: - Location - Large apartment - Comfortable bed - AC - Friendly, helpful owner - Cleaning and laundry service Cons: - No shower - The building had small ants everywhere that invaded the bathroom - There is a faint residual odor of cigarette smoke, but it's not overwhelming In summary, a great place.
