"I’m thinking there was a kid in the room above my room and that kid was jumping around the entire time I was in my room. I notified the front desk but Nothing happened and the noise continued. I’m afraid I will be seeking other lodging options when I return to Oakland in a few weeks."

"Front desk person at check in seemed in hurry to get rid of me, sped through check in, didn’t explain anything. When I asked questions she answered with annoyance. So I stopped asking. Place was very clean and kept up nicely. Not sure why they charge a high daily fee for parking the place has plenty of parking. That didn’t seem necessary, and makes a huge difference on choosing a place to stay. It also wasn't explained to me at check in that I’d have a daily parking fee. "

"The hotel felt quite outdated overall. There was a strong smell of marijuana throughout the first floor and common areas, which made the environment unpleasant. The furniture inside the room looked old and worn, and there was also a noticeable amount of dust. Unfortunately, cleanliness and maintenance did not meet expectations, and the overall experience was disappointing."

"Pros: Close to the beach (we didn't go). Beds were ok. It felt pretty safe. Had a pool with reasonable hours. Shower had good water pressure. They had complementary soap. They had a small breakfast nook in the morning. They thanked us for our stay when we left. Next to a bowling alley (if you have kids/want to do something fun that's close). "I want to begin by saying the staff was professional, polite, and helpful. If it were not for the staff, I would be leaving a 1-star review. I did not understand at first that this hotel chain can be considered transitional housing. Apparently, some people live there. This hotel does not fit the normal hotel model you would expect. For example, seeing housekeepers maintain the rooms on a daily basis does not occur here. Here is a list of things we observed: The room had dust balls...
