Cat's Cradle is a beautiful cozy cabin nestled in the perfect location of the Red River Gorge. Step through the threshold of this charming cabin and be greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, where the spirit of craftsmanship permeates every detail. The handcrafted interior, adorned with natural wood accents and lovely taxidermy, exudes a sense of tranquility and harmony with the surrounding wilderness.
Enjoy this cozy cabin as you create new memories in the Red River Gorge.

The Space:
As you venture into the main living area, a spacious and inviting haven unfolds before you. The living room, bathed in natural light streaming through large windows, provides a cozy retreat for socializing or simply relaxing in front of the fireplace. The kitchen, equipped with all the modern amenities, invites you to whip up delectable meals to savor while enjoying the scenic views.

This beautiful space can comfortable sleep eight, with three private bedrooms featuring queen sized beds, and a loft with a full sized futon!

The Neighborhood:
This cabin is located in the Shawnee Run neighborhood, which is very central to local attractions.

Other Things to Note:
Each cabin is unique to specific items they include, however, RRG Getaways supplies the listed items below at all cabins as a baseline for guests. A starter amount of the following: hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, dish pods, laundry pods, and basic cleaning supplies. Any additional items needed will be the guest's responsibility to supply. We do not supply anything considered perishable or consumable, this includes but is not limited to, coffee, salt, pepper, oil and the like.

This property has a Kureig coffee maker. ..Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. Firewood is not provided. Propane is provided for the use of the grill and fireplace.
Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited in the cabin.

Up to two pets are allowed at this cabin. We charge a flat pet fee of $50. Please be sure to add any pets to your reservation. If you do not see where to do so, reach out to us so we can apply our pet fee.

The property was so clean, had everything we needed to make meals, enough glassware, towels- overall wonderful set up! I brought my kids up there to spend time paddle boarding the caves! The house is five minute drive to the underground caves and Natural Bridge. It was so convenient to the outdoors- then come rest comfortably in the house in the evenings. I highly recommend this property for future stays.

Family getaway to the red river gorge!

Awesome getaway, cool area, located in a perfect area to all the great attractions. Plenty of space for the whole family and being able to bring our dogs made the trip so much more enjoyable. The kids loved the ping pong table and all the other board games provided. The hot tub was amazing!

Great Modern Cabin!

This cabin was the perfect place to come back to after a long day of hiking all of the trails near by. Super clean and had everything we needed. Hot tub, ping pong, and fire pit were the crowd favorites.

We rented the cabin for a wedding in the area. The cabin was easy to find and close to the venue. There was great parking. The cabin was spacious, clean, and very beautiful!!! The owner was easy to work with and highly recommend this cabin. Would definitely stay here again!!!

FANTASTIC PLACE...WOW. AWESOME STAY !!!!!!

Cat's Cradle VRBO was just over the top GREAT !! Location was private and quiet and serene. Inside was decorated so cool... was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Great location to all the hiking and Red River Gorge activities. Well stocked with utensils, and appliances and grill were like new. Hot tub on the screened in patio was an added bonus. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms spacious and nice, and plenty of table and counter space around the unit. Host was easy to contact, and responded immediately if you had any concerns or questions. Cat's Cradle is a VRBO gem ! By far, one of the best vacation stays we ever had. We WILL be back !!!!

Great family stay

Beautiful home with even more beautiful sunsets! We loved the open space and the screened in porch with the hot tub. It was in a great location for us - close to the Gorge Underground and hiking trails. It was great to have the 2nd bathroom for our kids separate from ours, and the loft with the ping pong table was a hit! Thank you for sharing your fabulous home with us!

Amazing!

We come out once a year to explore the Daniel boone backyard and decided to check this place out. I can honestly say we were beyond amazed at the cabin. We dont expect much but this place is beautiful and very well kept. We are looking forward to staying here again in the future. We all thank you very much for lending us your space.

Memorial Weekend 2024

This is a beautiful cabin in a nice quiet area. Very close to all the attractions there Gorge offers. The cabin and grounds were very clean. The beds were comfortable. This cabin had everything in it you would need or want for a family or group of friends to stay during your vacation to Red River Gorge. Highly recommend.

Gives Easy Access to Red River Gorge

The place was so clean and fresh it felt brand new! We were so close to Red River Gorge all of our hikes were easy to do and it was refreshing to drive back to the place and relax. Caution: the person who sleeps in the room next to the hot tub should be aware the pump runs off and on all night and creates sonic disturbance to sleep.

Beautiful spacious home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our family weekend getaway for our daughter's 30th birthday. This beautiful home is located in a very quiet remote area where we viewed beautiful sunsets from the large windows. The kitchen and living area was big enough to accommodate all 8 of us with all the modern appliances. We enjoyed the ping pong, hot tub and fire pit. And not only that, it's close to underground kayaking, local eateries and hiking. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
