Cool place

This place is cool. Great view loved the scenery. Everything is clean and new. The rooms are comfortable and the view is great. Not a fan of almost every door having a lock on it but some will like that feature. This place is super cool for a family with kids that are a bit older.

Exceptional!

Our stay at Rockaway Beach was even better than we expected it could be. The home offered breathtaking views of the ocean and Twin Rocks. We were lucky to spot a spouting whale from our vantage point on the hill. The house was well laid out with the master bedroom and en-suite with jetted tub on the main floor and 2 bedrooms and full bath on the lower level along with an additional family room and bar. The house was clean and well stocked including numerous activities for rainy Spring days. During our stay, we hiked, sampled wine and cheese, tasted local brews (both beer and coffee) and toured maritime museums in Garibaldi and Astoria. We ate delightful seafood and enjoyed walks on the beach. Our only regret was not bringing more family members to enjoy this special place. We would highly recommend My Friends Place to others and hope to visit again.

Beautiful View

The house was clean and well kept. Plenty of room for four ladies on a Girlfriends beach weekend. There’s a bedroom on main floor if anyone in your party has trouble with stairs. It was winter on the OR coast so didn’t spend much time on the deck. But the view is amazing! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house.

Girls Weekend

There were 4 of us in the house and it was so roomy we didn't need for anything so much extra in space. The VIEW was the winner for sure you could see the horizon and watch the sun set and the moon go over head in the early morning. There were so many windows facing the water and beach area you could see everything easily. The walk is all downhill to the beach which means it is all uphill to get back but what a workout that is. We loved the decor it was definitely beach scene and very well done. Thank you for a great place and the beautiful view from morning to night. Everything we needed was stocked and easy to find. We will truly stay here again if we get the chance.

Perfect Beach Getaway

This is a perfect house for a Girls’ Beach Getaway. Great location, spacious, and a view to die for! All the needed amenities, as well. Couldn’t have been better!

Rockaway Beach Home

The view from the home is amazing. There were just three issues - there was not enough information on how to operate the front door locks (how to lock the door when you leave), it would have been better to have an air conditioning system that allowed setting separate temperatures for each level of the home, and the marketing information seemed to indicate that the property was much closer to the beach than it actually was.

Breathtaking and Serene

We were in awe from the moment we stepped inside. Very spacious and breathtaking views from every room and balcony. Perfect for our entire family. The only recommendation would be to change out the mirror above the fireplace for art due to the heat it reflects from the sun coming through the windows. We loved the aquarium lights above the stairwell and only wished we could have stayed longer. We never had to eat out and there is a grill and deck chairs available which made watching the sunset even more relaxing.

New Year’s with the family

We celebrated New Year’s with our son, daughter-in-law and six-year-old grandson. The views from the house were gorgeous. We had to plenty of space for everyone and the house was lovely.

Amazing views and natural lighting

We had a great stay. The views of the ocean were amazing from main living area upstairs, downstairs and from each of the bedrooms. The neighborhood is quiet. Be warned that the drive up to the house is pretty steep.

House needs updates

House was nice but, crumbs and dirt on kitchen floor. Cabinets sticky and falling apart. Doors all stick when open and shutting. Bed in master very broke down caved into the middle. The worse thing was the furniture the couches up and down are the lowest and deepest we have ever seen. You get on and can’t get off. The porch outside chairs were the most comfortable here. We understand houses take a lot of abuse, but care like paint and touch up are a constant with rentals.

fall time

The place is well kept, clean with amazing view, not a place to walk to beach though. Great time of year to go as it is crabbing season. The beds were very comfortable , my Aussie friend said I should thank them for the water pressure. A;so a great jacuzzi bathtub. Our only problem was refrigerator not working, we didn't realize until after we bought food. They had a tiny fridge there and we attempted to make do. They had local guy come out and check - was unable to fix or obtain fridge while we were there for three nights. Fortunately the management staff of vacasa were very quick to answer our request and we are in process of receiving a monetary compensation for our inconvenience. So yes I would stay there again
