"We had a great four-night stay at this home while visiting family in Rochelle. The location was perfect for us and it also checked all our boxes for a great vacation rental: immaculate throughout; comfy bed; well-stocked kitchen; great bathrooms with ample towels; and a lovely and inviting space. Julie was also positive and quick to answer our questions. We look forward to staying again in the future! "

"Relaxing atmosphere. Aesthetically pleasing. Our 2 dogs loved it! It was like staying at a friends house and the host, Bill, is like that friend! Bill was thorough with the check-in/check-out processes information. Very welcoming! We will definitely return! Rockford area was our home for over 30 years. It was so nice to be able to return with such a pleasant place to stay. "

"Great location. Plenty of parking. Right on the Rock River. Very clean. Lots of outside seating on the decks. Lots of towels, though we couldn’t find them at first. They were in the dining room credenza. The house is pretty well stocked with supplies. The host is very friendly and responsive. Would stay there again."

"We had a wonderful stay at Getaway Cabin! It was very peaceful and relaxing sitting by the river! Cabin was very clean and the beds were comfortable! Would highly recommend!!"

"Overall really nice. It was clean and had extra towels/blankets and adequate kitchen. Plenty of space. Wifi was fine. It had fair AC and water. The washer dryer worked and she even left us enough soap for a few loads. The neighborhood was nice and we even went on a walk around to walk my dog. Would absolutely book again. Its about 1.5 hours to get to Chicago for a visit depending on the area. It also has some nice restraunts in the nearby towns. We also had a change of plans and she...

"We comfortably had 10 people sleeping here. Rooms were bigger than they appeared in the pictures giving us plenty of space in the bedrooms and the living room. The basement area with a bedroom and full bath was huge. Neighborhood was very quiet. Great house for a family get together. "

"Cute older home. New furniture and bedding. The home is older but is clean and spacious. Carpet is a little stained but there is a sign asking for no shoes on carpet so I feel like they are trying to keep it. Anything we messaged the host about they were prompt on replying. The parking is not for larger vehicles, it’s a narrow entry to the parking area. Very quiet little neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. "
