"The reception staff we met on day of arrival was very good. But not for rest of the days 1. House keeping staff did not understood english. Neither did they made any effort to understand what we were asking. I would expect them to atleast understand the basic words, if they are in hospitaliy business in Europe. 2. We had to call reception 2-3 times a day for water. Every day i had to walk down to reception to ask for bottle of water. It always took them more than an hour to get back with that...

"I read a number of the negative reviews (after I had booked) and arrived at the hotel with anticipation of being disappointed. I am glad to say we had a lovely stay. Food was good, staff helpful, it is a lovely setting. I stayed in the river view suite and the room was great. Design good and lots of space. There is a lovely walk along the river. My only regret was that I had not figured where the hot buffet was at breakfast. I only spotted it when I was leaving. Thankfully, I was not there when...

"Very handy for the airport if you have an early flight or late arrival. Within easy walking distance. Not a characterful hotel, more a commuting stop over but fine for that purpose. Very close to the metro stop for Porto, in fact just over the road! Very tiny downside but annoying factor is you have to buy milk if you want to make a cup of tea! No complimentary milk at this hotel! "

"Overall good. Hotel is close to airport and is within walking distance. Metro is handy for getting around. We have 2 persons checking in but only 1 paper cup was provided for teeth brushing. Additional ones were given on request. Airport shuttle runs 24 hours but needs reservation and the van is small. Taking the shuttle from the airport on arrival would need prior arrangement. We were not able to contact the hotel from the airport and ended up jumping into a taxi and the driver wasn't...

"Het is een heerlijk hotel, goed gelegen, heel behulpzaam personeel, uitstekend ontbijt. Het enige minpunt is het lawaai buiten op het terras en bij het zwembad. Er is vlak naast het hotel een soort centrale (energie?) die veel lawaai maakt. Ook het verkeer buiten hoor je hard."
