This was our second time staying at Wyndham Rio Barra. Our first experience in August 2024 was very positive, which is why I chose to book the hotel again for our family vacation.
Unfortunately, this time was a major disappointment. The room we were given was outdated, with missing furniture and an overall unpleasant appearance. I addressed the issue with the front desk, but they repeatedly said there was nothing they could do beyond the room category I had booked—despite the fact that the room clearly did not meet the expected standard.
The following day, I spoke to the front desk again, and they moved us to another room of the “same category.” While slightly better, it was still far from ideal. The shower floor was clogged and ended up overflowing, adding further frustration to our stay. I once again asked for a room change or a solution to improve our experience, but they insisted that the only option was a paid upgrade.
This situation was not our fault—the room was simply not fit to accommodate any guest.
Although I love the area, I do not plan to return to this hotel.
