Clean and Quiet

The Cottage was very clean and it was very quiet during our stay. The water is right there and the fishing good. The kitchen is a good size with everything we needed. The neighborhood is very friendly and we really had a relaxing pleasant time.

2 adults, 2 pets.Had everything we could want (except a hammock and hot tub on deck lol). Beautiful views and a very peaceful time to stay. The only thing we didnt care for was the thermostat, too high tech, kept switching our desired temp every day, very minor!Would stay here again if in the area!

Nice Location, Great Hosts

We enjoyed our stay at the lake. The location was nice, the house was clean, and the hosts were very helpful. Only giving 4 stars because the property could use some updates/extra touches for the weekly rate we paid (e.g., updated railings, patio furniture on the deck besides wood benches, etc.)

Great place for a little getaway

Rented for a family outing in Rice Lake, WI. The setup was perfect for our family. Very nice lake and a neat area. Cabin was right on the lake with a small dock to do some fishing. The host was friendly and got back to us right away on any questions. Would definately stay there again!

Great little cabin for the family

Wonderful hosts and great location. We enjoyed the cabin over the 4th of July. Had fun fishing and swimming off the dock. Great deck to look out upon the lake. Rented a boat from Chetek that worked out great - they delivered. Highly recommended for the price!

Clean, well stocked, host was friendly and helpful. The lake view was lovely. We came for a fishing vacation. It was nice to have our own dock so we didnt have to keep launching the boat. The fishing was great, caught some bass, crappie, bluegill, perch and northernpike.

Family weekend!

We had an excellent stay! Mike was so helpful and very easy to communicate with! Everything we needed was there for us. They left us a very sweet welcome gift in honor of our son who is in the National Guard. Would recommend!

The property manager was excellent with communication. We had everything we needed for our stay. The dock size was a little smaller than expected but worked out ok in the end.

PROPERTY

The property is in need of updating, we understand it is not a new house but updates could be done. the out door furniture on in the back is old and the plastic chairs were discolored and dirty. the weeds were grown up around the bricks and the house. the living room furniture is bad. there is a couch which is not in good shape, sags when you sit on it and just one chair. the second bathroom is VERY small. the deck area railing was not safe even though there is signage not to lean on it. and the fencing is not attractive. it says in the description that the stairs to the dock are steep but the railing on the stairway is not stable. the location was fine but I wound not rent it again. We were expecting better for the price and why there is an extra charge for the evolve company is too high. I have no idea what value they added

This was a perfect place for our extended stay. Mike, the owner, was very thoughtful and even made a trip to the property to turn an outside light on when our arrival was delayed. The home had everything we needed; a great home away from home. Beautiful sunset views and a short drive to town. Thank you, we hope to return!

Great stay!

We stayed at this lake house while moving my Mom to Memory Care. It was clean, right on the lake and close to shopping and restaurants. Mike, the owner was great to work with and answered any questions we had in a timely manner. We’ll definitely be back!

Relaxing in lake beauty

Very nice but the lake access was not user friendly for an 83 yr-old. I believe that the on-line photo of a fising rod in the garage with no access to the garage was misleading or I did not understand it. I had hoped to sit by the lake and fish. I did enjoy the upper deck.

Clean and comfortable

Communication with host was great. They even gave us recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. Cabin was clean and everything was in working order. As others (and theisting) has mentioned lakefront access is limited to small pier and steps next to boat house. Very shaded shoreline. Trees on shoreline also make it difficult to cast. Boathouse was a fun spot to sit and watch the lake! Sunsets were amazing. If they rent this in the winter this would be an ideal ice fishing spot!

Comfortable and enjoyable

This place had everything needed. My wife and four kids (ages 18months - 8yrs) enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room and all the essentials were ready for use. Very nice place, pet friendly, with great hosts. Will definitely stay again!

Hockey Tournament

We were in Rice Lake for a hockey tournament and wanted our own space and kitchen to cook meals. It was perfect for two families. Thank you so much for the great weekend getaway!
