Welcoming house in Medieval Town

  • Bienvenido a nuestro lugar que se encuentra justo al lado de St. Puerta de Atanasio. Ahora se encuentra en el "barrio turco", que es uno de los muchos barrios transculturales del casco antiguo. Aquí tendrá la oportunidad de vivir en una casa medieval restaurada tradicional.

    El jardín
    El oasis como un jardín verde y delicioso con cítricos, buganvillas y otras plantas lo ayudará a capturar la esencia mágica de la atmósfera mediterránea. Los altos muros de piedra que rodean el jardín ofrecen privacidad y tranquilidad. Hay un patio privado totalmente equipado para cenar y relajarse. También puede disfrutar de la barbacoa al aire libre. El gran naranjo amargo con los bancos de piedra incorporados alrededor es el lugar adecuado para su desayuno a la sombra de la mañana. Las mesas y las sillas de director completan la cómoda escena.

    La casa
    Una casa de dos pisos cuenta con un dormitorio con una cama doble y un baño en cada piso.
    La planta baja consta de un comedor totalmente amueblado con aire acondicionado y un dormitorio con cama doble, armario, cajones y ventilador. También aquí encontrará la cocina totalmente equipada con cocina eléctrica y horno, lavavajillas, frigorífico, tostadora, caldera y cafetera. También hay un baño con ducha y lavadora. En el acogedor salón hay un sofá cama, un televisor de pantalla plana con satélite, reproductor de DVD y un ventilador de techo.
    En el primer piso hay un dormitorio con cama doble, mesitas de noche y armario, baño privado (WC y ducha) y una hermosa terraza que ofrece una vista panorámica de las históricas murallas medievales. Está equipado con tumbonas y sombrillas, un lugar idílico para tomar el sol o disfrutar del cielo nocturno.
    Nuestra casa puede acomodar hasta 5 personas. Ofrecemos toda la ropa de cama y toallas necesarias. El suministro de agua caliente es constante, alimentado por energía solar. Todas las ventanas y puertas tienen una red de protección contra insectos. También hay utensilios de planchado, extintores, botiquín de primeros auxilios y caja fuerte. Está disponible bajo petición una cuna y una trona para bebé.

    Transporte
    Justo afuera de la Puerta de San Atanasio, (2 minutos a pie), hay una estación de taxis y una estación de autobuses (suburbana y urbana) que te lleva a las playas y más allá. También hay espacio de estacionamiento gratuito disponible justo al lado de St. Puerta de Atanasio. A su llegada nos encontraremos en el St. Entrada de Atanasio que lo acompaña a la casa y se asegura de que tenga un comienzo de vacaciones fácil. En la casa encontrará una cesta de bienvenida y un manual lleno de información y consejos para su estadía.

    El vecindario
    Nuestra casa está ubicada en un vecindario tranquilo cerca del centro, al mismo tiempo que está protegida del ruido de la ciudad. Todos los lugares de interés del casco antiguo, monumentos, museos, mercado comercial, farmacia y distrito de entretenimiento con tabernas, restaurantes y bares, se encuentran a 5 - 10 minutos a pie de la casa. En las pintorescas calles que rodean la casa encontrará monumentos, pequeños supermercados, panaderías, alojamientos para turistas, tiendas de recuerdos y casas de luces rojas, todas coexistiendo en armonía. Después de todo, es esta colorida mezcla de diferentes culturas lo que forma el sabor único de esta ciudad.

Our family of 5 enjoyed staying at Rosa’s place! The house was very comfortable and welcoming. We had breakfast outside every morning in the garden. We loved being able to walk around everywhere. I also appreciated being able to do laundry and hang our clothes to dry outside. Rosa was a very kind host and was super helpful when we asked for recommendations. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Un accueil de Rosa très chaleureux à notre arrivée! Avons passé une semaine dans cette belle maison médiévale avec un beau jardin où il fait bon d'y être. Logement très agréable dans un endroit très calme.C'est un plus, le quad loué pour visiter l'île, nous avons pu le parquer gratuitement près de la vieille ville, près de notre location.Le soir, boutiques, tavernes et balades dans les petites ruelles nous attendent...Un séjour réussi dans ce bel endroit. A haven in Rhodes Old Town

This is an amazing place to stay within the walls of Rhodes Old Town. The location is wonderful and the two storey old house with garden and two bathrooms is a little paradise. It is clean and well provisioned for self catering and Rosa was a delightful host. Highly recommended!

Just what we wanted a character property in the medieval town within walking distance of most place.

It suited perfectly us perfectly being in walking distance of places of interest and shops bars and restaurants The garden is beautiful shady but allows a cooling breeze. The only thing we would have liked would have been comfortable sun loungers on the balcony the owners were very friendly and helpful and a delight to meet. A lovely two weeks in a genuine old town house.

Medieval Old Town Traveler

Our return visit to this extraordinary medieval old town was memorable.The property was very comfortable and inviting. The roof top ταράτσα was the perfect spot for breakfast, dinner and drinks or just a beautiful skyline with a cool island breeze. The garden area was nicely shaded and private. Day trips throughout the island (w/rental car) were enjoyed from this location. We look forward to our return one day to this historic site.

Great stay in Rhodes town

This property was ideally located for all the attractions in the old town, as well as the harbour and beaches. It's a very old house, so has its quirks, but we found it perfect for our needs, especially with the surprisingly large and quiet outdoor space. Rosa was very responsive to any questions we had.

Great garden apartment in fabulous location

All amenities were close by and yet the apartment was a tranquil retreat right in the middle of the medieval old town. The garden was a wonderful addition to the rental and it was so nice to wake up and have breakfast outside. The apartment had everything we needed and the owner was extremely helpful and kind. Would highly recommend.

Great place to stay

Very comfortable house. It is a little away from the heart of the tourist throng which was great, but still only a few minutes walk to all of the attractions. Our host, Rosa, was wonderful. Extremely helpful and responded immediately to any questions. There is a delightful garden with 2 outdoor eating spots. Thoroughly recommend!

Comfortable, convenient, and roomy.

We stayed for a week in this lovely house in the historic city. The rooms are clean, nicely furnished, and comfortable for our family of five. It was quiet inside and had a beautiful garden with a table for eating outside. The terrace balcony upstairs was a nice place to have coffee in the morning. The host provided everything we needed for washing clothes and dishes and she was always available to help and offer recommendations. I would not hesitate to stay there again and recommend this house to anyone visiting Rhodes.

Wonderful stay in Old Town Rhodes

Rosa is a very friendly, helpful and really nice host for this lovely comfortable house, in a quiet neighbourhood, inside the city walls of Old Town Rhodes. Everything you need is provided and there is a lovely garden to enjoy. All the major sites of this wonderful historic town are close, the archeological museum is a must-visit and don’t forget its gardens for more treasures. Island buses are not far away as is the port for visiting nearby islands, or reaching Lindos by boat. This was our second stay, really like Rhodes - highly recommended

A delightful oasis in Rhodes

The property, a nicely renovated two storey home in the Turkish Quarter of Rhodes old Town, is set in a delightful walled garden perfect for relaxing in after a day of sightseeing. The roof terrace is an added bonus. The house has everything needed for a comfortable stay and is well situated in a quieter part of the old town. Rosa was a charming and attentive host and quickly responded to any questions we had. Highly recommended.

This beautiful classic house is situated in the Old town. It has the most beautiful private and secluded garden that you can eat in and relax.the garden has early Greek and Roman decorative items. The house is equipped with every modern convenience that you need and there is a wonderful terrace on the first floor which is ideal for sunbathing. Rosa the owner is the most charming and helpful person you could meet and she can advise you on most things. This haven is a must and one I shall definitely return to.

Quiet oasis in the centre of Old Town

Two houses in the old town near the St. Francis Gate where once in a week an open market takes place. The owner, Rosa, is a very gentile person and takes care of you. Very nice furnished, clean, friendly, sunny and practical with dishwasher, washing machine etc. Nice garden with lemon trees, flowers and barbecue. We will come again, sure!

Wonderful place!

Location is brilliant, inside the town walls yet close enough to St Athanasios Gate / San Francisco for local buses and larger shops outside the old town. The house is well equipped with everything you need and Rosa was super friendly and helpful with all the enquiries one has not knowing the area. It's a 25 minutes walk to Zefyros beach, which is much nicer (and cheaper!) than Elli beach and the way there goes past a pretty large Kritikos supermarket. A minimarket, a small bakery, and a few bars and restaurants are literally around the corder within the old town. We really enjoyed our stay and can highly recommed the house!

Cheerful and comfortable stay

Our stay in this beautiful home was a highlight of our trip. What a charming and comfortable house in the perfect location! We were warmly welcomed by Dora upon arrival and communication throughout was so friendly, responsive and easy. We were lucky to be in Rhodes when the temps were perfect for leaving the windows open, with the sweet smell of jasmine in the gentle breeze. Plus, the private balcony and patio/garden were wonderful places to have breakfast and relax at the end of the day! The house is conveniently located near a gate of the medieval wall. We rented a car and parked just outside of the wall, so getting ourselves and rolling bags to the house was really easy. Most of the medieval town is quite crowded with tourists, however this part of town was very quiet and tourist-free. I would stay here again and again, should I have the chance to return to Rhodes!

Entspannter Urlaub mitten in historischer Altstadt

Das historische Haus und der Garten wurde liebevoll renoviert und möbliert und entspricht den Fotos. Rosa die Vermieterin ist sehr bemüht und zuvorkommend und war uns bei allen Dingen behilflich insbesondere bei unserem Problem mit den Motorollern. Wir haben den großen Garten und die Terrasse sehr genossen. Es gibt in Rhodos einen super Fischmarkt in dem wir die Fische zum Grillen im Garten geholt haben. Das Nachtleben mit Bars und Clubs ist auch schnell erreicht. Alles im Haus ist funktionsfähig und sehr sauber.Zusätzliche Handtücher und Bettwäsche wurde auch kostenfrei zur Verfügung gestellt.Nochmals Dank an Rosa für den schönen Urlaub

Wonderful ancient City experience.

We loved the location of this quirky, colourful house in a corner of the walled City with small shops close by and yet close to one of the gates for accessing car and new town. (Supermarket and fruit and veg shop outside were just 15 minutes walk away there) Rosa met us outside gate and was waiting patiently, while we got a bit lost, to help us drag our bags over a very short distance of cobbled lanes and then show us everything in her family home that we needed to know. The house had everything we needed, though we didn't cook much as there were so very many restaurants within minutes and we wanted to try as many as possible. We had to contact Rosa a few times during our two weeks with little queries about the area and she always answered immediately and was immensely friendly and helpful. She also allowed us to stay in house after normal check out time on our last day because we had a late flight home. We used the sunny roof terrace quite a lot and enjoyed our breakfast there, but imagine that the beautiful walled garden and it's shady areas would be fabulous in hotter months. At night by closing wooden shutters the bedrooms became very dark and quiet which was great for sleeping well and both beds were very comfortable. We adored the old Town's impressive fortifications, huge moat and cobbled alleys and had our favourite meals/drinks at Mangos, Ouzokafenes, Socrateous gardens and Romeos, as well as places in other areas on our travels around the island including a small hillside taverna in Appollina village, where we ate with all locals celebrating May Day and where the Chef is passionate about local organic produce. We found the people in Rhodes to be polite, welcoming, warm, kind, friendly and interested and had many great conversations about life there. It was very hard to leave Secret Garden house and we would most definitely go back. Thank you Rosa!

Leben wie in längst vergangener Zeit mit dem Komfort von heute. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir waren eine Woche in Rhodos-Altstadt und haben den Aufenthalt direkt im alten Ortskern sehr genossen. Wunderschöner gemütlicher Garten mit Zitronenbäumen, von denen wir auch die eine oder andere heruntergefallene Frucht verzehrt haben. Trotz der direkten Innenstadtlage war es sehr ruhig (durch die Gasse fahren nicht mal Mopeds) und die vielen, sehr guten Restaurants sind sogar in weniger wie 5 Minuten erreichbar. Wir lieben einen Urlaub in einer Ferienwohnung oder einem Haus (statt eines Hotels mit evlt. HP oder AI) und genießen die wirklich tolle Auswahl an Essensmöglichkeiten und die Gastfreundschaft der Griechen. Die Vermieterin Rosa ist äußerst nett und jederzeit per WhatsApp oder Telefon erreichbar. Wir haben uns in dieser einen Woche nur einmal einen Roller gemietet, um uns die Umgebung ein bisschen anzuschauen, in der Stadt benötigt man kein Auto. Wir haben allerdings noch eine zweite Woche in Rhodos Süden verbracht, für diese Zeit hatten wir vor Ort ein sehr günstiges Auto in der Nähe des Flughafens gemietet. Alles in allem ein tolles Erlebnis, ein bisschen wie leben in vergangener Zeit mit dem Komfort von heute, sehr empfehlenswert!

Zentrale und dennoch sehr ruhige Lage in der Altstadt

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und zum Haus begleitet. Sowohl auf der Dachterrasse als auch im Garten kann man sehr gut entspannen. Im Haus ist alles wichtige vorhanden.

Un sejour inoubliable

Si vous etes amateurs de petits villages pitoresques ne cherchez pas ailleurs! Le vieux Rhodes est juste magnifique et la maison parfaite et pleine de charme. L'accueil de Dora, ses indications pour simplifier et rendre notre séjour le plus agréable possible, sa discrète mais efficace disponibilité, ont fini de rendre notre séjour inoubliable! Nous reviendrons dès que possible!!!!
