"Stayed here years ago. The rooms haven't changed much. The rooms are pretty standard, but the lobby, staff and food are all better than most hotels. Maybe a little old school, but I love the look of the hotel. The bed was really comfortable. The event banquet food has always been wonderful. They can handle the volume of plates without affecting the appeal. Great work!"

"Needed some quiet time away. Nice and quiet hotel with great little touches like soaking tubs and super comfortable beds and pillows. Nothing super fancy and clearly a little dated but the environment screams comfort and old money. Clearly in its time this place would be a place only wealthy could afford but now its a place where working people can get some comfort, relaxation, and great environment (spa, pool,walking and outdoor spaces) in close prominity to our regular busy lives. "I love staying at the Mountaineer. I stay there every time I go to Vermont. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Parking is very easy good location, central to many restaurants and other amenities. Very nice coffee bar beautiful pool for swimming. great atmosphere. Love the easy check-inprocess. Everything is digital no keys to worry about."
