"This cabin was the perfect escape! It struck the ideal balance between comfort and nature- exactly what you'd want fora relaxing stay at Alpine Lake. The home was incredibly well-stocked with everything from towels and dishes to cleaning supplies, spices, and extra linens. It made settling in so easy. "First, Jeff is an amazing host. So much thought put into his guests comfort and feeling of “home”. Our group absolutely loved it. So clean, cozy, and functional!! It was convenient to everything we needed to have access too and the back yard was amazing for watching wildlife! We would definitely stay here again! "

"We stayed here overnight to break up a long drive. It's a nice apartment with enough space that we could (all 4 of us) have some private space to decompress and relax before continuing on our travels. The property was easy to get to, and Morgantown was a nice place to make a stop and have a short visit. We loved the artwork in the apartment. Communication and check-in/check-out were great. "

"We had a great time, plenty of space to spread out. Only warning would be , be ready for stairs! So easy to get to the Lake House for dinner and drinks...and easy on and off 68 to get other places quickly. "

"We traveled from Michigan to West Virginia for a friend’s wedding. This was a perfect location for us to the church and reception. Four of us stayed and the 2 bd/ 2 bath worked out great. "

"Beautiful location! Sorta close to grocery & gas. Resort may have food store. Didn’t check. Looks fantastic inside. Paneling design great. Plenty of room for family or separate space. Great front porch. Great covered deck with table in back. "

"Communication was excellent. Location was great for what adventures we had planned. The basement apartment had everything we needed. The two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom was well equipped. Only thing that we did not enjoy was zero windows or way to see outside. Great place of you need a place to sleep, eat relax outside and quiet. "

"Perfect for what we needed!"

"Great stay, cabin had everything we needed and the firewood on property was nice. Plenty of room for the dog to roam outside and we left tick free, which is always a plus. Park bench in front of your personal falls went great with the morning coffee. Blackwater falls was a fun trip. The path down is on the back side of the parking lot beside the snake shop. It's a trek down to the falls, be prepared. Douglas and Albert falls was a good time, when you get there. Getting back to Douglas...

"The place was excellent! Clean, accomidated everyone. Was just what we needed and was convenient to where we were headed!"

"The house has everything you need and then some. We enjoyed floating the river. We had 2 vehicles and our own tubes. Start at the bridge and float to the house or start at the house and float to the park. Either way you’ll have a blast. Then enjoy a bonfire and roast some marshmallows. "
