"Nostalgic Privilege! 280 degree front views of the moana, acres of lush green yonder with hahi, urupā, te waka aa kaihao and peaceful tranquility. Pickering Cottage stay was clean, with cosy nooks, traditional cuboards and their fittings, slanted walls, drift wood curtain rods and door handles. Traditional side draws and dining furnisher, no wall paper present with my favourite being the wide KAURI floors. WOW!! Enjoyed the huge washing utility room that housed everything from washing...

"My daughter and I loved staying in this accomodation with a beautiful view of the dunes right across the road. Beautiful sunsets and just a few steps away to the waters edge and beautiful beach. This place had everything we needed with some amazing places to visit."

"Our stay was amazing first time using book a bach it was a great setting. The house was very comfortable with plenty of space would recommend to anyone, a real tranquil moment with the sound of the waves.Sorry we werent able to get any photos.We tried to book over the Christmas period Already booked.Thank you so much to the owners."

"Absolutely enjoyed our stay. Location was ideal for us and we could not fault it. Beds were comfy and so were the couches. Next time i will remember to take a bluetooth speaker but otherwise the lack of tv was a bonus. Went to the opononi hotel to watch the league and take the kids out for dinner. Locals are really friendly.As for the driveway, i left that for hubby to navigate. Didn't look as bad as i had envisioned but i probably would park down the bottom if I was on my own. Overall loved...

"Lovely home away from home where you can unplug. Accommodation clean, modern and has what you need if you have an extended stay (wm, dryer, vacuum, mop, line to hang washing). Loved our stay. "

"Fantastic cottage with everything we needed, including some games and story books for the kids. Room to kick a ball around, chickens to visit and dogs to play fetch with. Happy memories. We look forward to coming back again one day."

"Very pleasant and it is surrounded by nature and quiet. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The fire place was very effective. Just a great experience and we highly recommend."

"Perfect property for a large family birthday celebration, this is a very well set up home and has the most beautiful views out to the harbour and sand dunes , the weather was perfect and the deck was well used over the entire stay!We had a lovely weekend away together and highly recommend this property for the home and the location. "

"Enjoyed yesteryear charm. Excellent little touches. Be prepared to travel for Cafe's in Rawene. Great to walk the Kohukohu village up past the school to appreciate the wonderful old villas. Most were built in the 1800's. Best to purchase a concession card for ferry travel. Much cheaper."

"If you're looking for a great kiwi bach to hang out and enjoy the area in this place is perfect. "

"A lovely property, a newly renovated villa in a quiet location surrounded by fields. Mostly well equipped, but lacking a few details like somewhere to hang towels in the bathrooms. Bath plug leaked and TV turned itself on at full volume at 7.30 am!! Good location for access to Twin Coast rail trail."

"We booked the cottage & apartment to accomodate our group. The host was welcoming & engaging without being intrusive. We made the most of the close proximity of the beach, a delightful cafe & a restaurant. It was a memorable & enjoyable stay."
