"This is a lodging experience like no other. Located a 10 minute walk from the town of Ollantaytambo, it’s nestled in a eucalyptus forest alongside the roaring Urubamba River. "We stayed at Villa Kampuwasi in Urubamba for 8 days and we absolutely loved it. The house and the grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. It is tastefully decorated and everything is very comfortable. The staff was exceptional. I highly recommend staying in Urubamba instead of Cusco if you want to explore Sacred Valley. "The house was nice and the picture were for the house but as most time, it looked nicer than it was. Overall the house was clean and the bed and everything was good, but everything was starting to get a bit old. It was winter and it was a bit call the radiators to be use were a bit old and made noise. At the beginning we only got one set of towels, with the humidity it was impossible those got dry, we asked and only the last day we got extra towels. There was not wash machine or dryer on the...

"This is a hotel, not a home. You have to haul your luggage up about four flights of stone steps, but the view from the roof is incredible of the town and all the surrounding Inca ruins. The hotel was not informed of our arrival and although VRBO said we had paid, we had to pay again on our arrival."
