"This property was very unique and a great place to stay, especially after visiting the Hobbiton Movie Set earlier in the day. The rooms did smell a little like “Middle Earth” when we arrived, but the fans were running and the owners were obviously trying to deal with the problem which was much appreciated. "My family stayed here for two nights. This location is just around the corner from the caves, but is secluded. An excellent place to stay to avoid the crowds. The hostess responds fairly quickly to questions. "The surrounding is beautiful and close bye everything where we came for. Many lamps didn’t work. There were no pictures of the 2 sleeping eras below in the ship on the information site. They had no comfort and had not a pleasant smell, what keep some of us awake. All in all much too expensive what we got!"

"This was one of our favourite stays in New Zealand. The view of the surrounding farms, treed hills, and mountains was stunning. The host supplied a basket of goods to make breakfast, which was lovely. We fell in love with Frankie, their farm cat, and enjoyed cuddles on the deck with her and her kittens. Beautiful citrus trees and landscaped areas created privacy from the farm and host. It was close to town and local sites."
