Only a short drive from DFW, come enjoy a weekend or longer on Lake Quitman, a hidden gem in East Texas.
Our lakehouse is the perfect gathering spot for your romantic weekend getaway, group retreat, fishing weekend or your next family reunion. Located on the north side of Lake Quitman, it has everything you need to sleep up to 15 people.
Enjoy swimming or floating in the water off of the covered boat dock during the day, and watch the fireflies dance in the back yard at night from the large covered deck. Our home is conveniently located just a block away from the boat ramp where you can load your own boat or jet skis.
The house has one living room with a ROKU enabled TV and fully stocked kitchen. 3 of the bedrooms downstairs have queen beds. 1 downstairs bedroom has 2 twin daybeds with trundles. 1 downstairs bedroom has a twin daybed with trundle. The bunkroom upstairs is the perfect place for kids or teens. It has 4 built-in twin bunkbeds and a standalone twin bed to sleep a total of 5 upstairs. All linens and towels are provided. In addition to comfortable furnishings and 10-top dining table our house offers multiple outside eating areas, gas and charcoal grills, fire pit with chairs, covered back porch, a shaded back yard with tall trees and plenty of room to kick or throw a ball around! There is Wi-fi and a washer/dryer for your use during your stay.

Check in was quick and easy. House was ready for us straight away (even a few minutes early!!). We could see right away we would have a great stay. From the clean spacious bedrooms flanking the hallway to the long table that spat all of us no problem to the great view of the lake! This house lives xtra big with the fantastic porch and big back yard. The shoreline is sandy, the water is crystalline, sons the pier is a great place to enjoy a sunrise with a cup of coffee. Everything worked great. Thanks for an awesome stay. I’m referring this place to all my friends and family. The kitchen is VERY well equipped from enough silverware to the right pot or pan or blender for whatever you’re looking to cook or sip.

Beautiful house and property! It was the perfect location for our teen girls retreat this weekend. This is the 3rd time we have stayed here and it never disappoints. The host was easy to communicate with and made the check in process seamless for us. We will be back!

The property was a nice lake house with plenty of room for everyone. We had a hard time getting our check in instructions, I guess the host just forgot to send it. After several messages we finally got the check in instructions after our check in time. It was mostly clean and tidy, but the house is in need of a deep clean and new sheets and towels. Although they seemed to be clean, they all had stains. I would say for the price we paid to stay there it should have been a higher level home.

Rating: 7.5/10 The house has a great location with a beautiful lakefront view, plenty of sitting space, and a well-stocked interior. We especially loved the dedicated BBQ spot, which is perfect for outdoor gatherings. Overall, it’s a comfortable place to relax and enjoy nature. However, a couple of things could be improved:•The outdoor area needs better cleaning, as there were spider webs hanging around.•During our BBQ, the sprinklers suddenly turned on, and there were no clear instructions on how to turn them off — even after contacting the host multiple times. Unfortunately, it ruined the BBQ and got everyone wet.With a bit more attention to maintenance and better communication from the host, this place could easily be a 9/10.

Family Thanksgiving Trip 2024

We booked this home for 3 nights for Thanksgiving and had an absolutely amazing time. It was quiet and we loved lounging on the large deck and watching the kids run around in the large backyard. My parents had been wanting all their kids and grandkids to get together and there was plenty of space with 5 bedrooms and a kids loft. The large table and small round table also were amazing for sitting everyone together to eat at the same time. Not to mention all the toys in the home and the kids loved exploring the loft and finding all of them. The orange scooter and blue donkey were by far the kids favorites. We would definitely book again 5+ stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Relaxing getaway

The location of this property is very relaxing. We were able to swim and paddle board without a lot of disruption from boaters. The house had everything we needed for a large group. The homeowners were responsive as well. Great place to relax and take in nature.

Great time!!

Place was amazing!!!! Loved the lawn and the accessibility of the dock and lake! We took 2 boats with us and had plenty of parking space for them and other vehicles! The house was great and spacious! The only things we encountered was we couldn’t get the tvs to work for some reason and the Wi-Fi. But we didn’t care cause that’s not what we went for. Other thing was the upstairs had a hard time staying cool during the day…got as hot as 90 up there but luckily cooled back down in time for bed! Other than that we definitely enjoyed our stay and want to thank the host for great experience.

Beautiful view

The lot was beautiful, The house is nice, lots of beds, but seating in the living area is limited, for leisure visiting. Plenty of room for dining large groups. The front porch is beautiful but it was hard to use with so many folding chairs tables heaters, corn hole clutter, never saw the adirondak chairs. Recommend if you want to grill, to bring one. They have a gas grill, and charcoal grill, but grates are a bit past it. In total we had a great time, house is beautiful Dock was great, lots of large mouth bass jumping, we caught 1 white bass, 2 black bass, and one crappie. If your a bird watcher, beautiful water fowl and songs birds to occupy your time. Water is clear, you can see the bottom. We wore water shoes,because we weren't sure if there could be spmething sharp, but water was clean and refreshing. Recommend for any gathering. We all had a great time

PERFECT for our Retreat Weekend!

This is our second time to stay in this home for our girls retreat weekend. From the booking process to the house itself, everything was perfect. The house and property were beautiful and the amenities were great!
