"Although somewhat dated, the property was good and had all the necessary facilities. It was a shame that the kitchen was dirty and needed a good clean. Otherwise the property would have been great. However the Supervisor was very apologetic and upgraded us to better and cleaner accommodation at no extra cost. We were very grateful and in turn had an awesome stay! "

"I really enjoyed my stay. The Bucket Tree is very iconic, with colonial style architecture, lovely park-like surroundings and that giant bucket-shaped tree in front. I arrived in the middle of a heavy rainstorm, so really appreciated the warm and cosy room. I had a separate bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Beautiful kitchenette and bathroom. Everything was lovely and clean and the service was great. I stayed for two nights and my room was cleaned each day. Would definitely stay here again....

"I would recommend this property to anyone coming to Wellington! The location cannot be beat! The snacks in the room are such a nice touch! The rooms are incredibly spacious! Love having a separate shower and toilet! Easy to use entertainment! The bar at the hotel is great! The sparkling or flat water is such a small but appreciated detail on every floor! We were on the second floor and were honoured to see Viago daily. So many great dining, shopping or cultural options within walking distance!...
