"Voco in Astoria is a great place to stay. It’s less than a year old and the rooms are soundproof. Across from me was the subway track and I could barely hear it. It was probably one of of best showers I’ve ever had in a hotel room. The restaurant serves dinner and breakfast. The food and atmosphere was amazing as well as the excellent Customer Service by the entire staff throughout the hotel. It’s a short walking distance to a subway entrance. I will definitely be returning there."

"You get what you pay for. I stayed here and was happy about the price and location. Once I arrived, the front revolving door was broken, my key fob worked a couple times, and my room didn’t have a way to keep the blinds completely shut. Also, my last night there I was trying to sleep but heard loud banging at 11pm at night (sounded like a door was being replaced) I called the front desk to notify them and the noise kept occurring. Wouldn’t stay here again."

"To be very honest, the hotel provided a good room, but the neighborhood is horrible. 40 minutes from Manhattan, 25 minutes from downtown Brooklyn with a car. Staff is horrible, had to ask house keeping to come clean the room but they never showed up. Big reason to not book here is the AC system does not work. Had to sleep in extreme heat and that didn’t go well. Overall, don’t book here unless you are willing to pay less and sacrifice your sleep. Usually in New York you go to Manhattan and...

"For what it was, a name brand hotel in a cheaper part of NYC, it was ok. Totally sucks that it has a parking lot and guests still had to pay 40 a day for parking. So if you’re planning a stay add 40 bucks to your stay per day. Breakfast was nice and free, not much seating though. Rooms were outdated, small, dark and our TV kept breaking. If you just need a place to rest your head at about 250 a night with parking… it’s not so bad. I would not pay full price and stay there. That’s for sure."

"We have stayed here many times due to having family close by. The hotel is clean, has free parking, generously sized rooms, ample free breakfast and comfortable beds. This time we were on the second floor facing the highway. Though the room was very nice it was noisy and I had a hard time sleeping. I’ll stay again but ask for a room on a higher floor and facing the parking lot."
