we had difficulty with the keypad lock after returning to the property at 1030 pm on the first night.The combination lock malfunctioned and after contacting property manager we spent 20 mins trying to locate a spare key that was hidden .The manager did not know the location of the hidden key, we later found it in an obvious spot after much searching in the dark and the dirt, we found the key to eventually get back in to the unit. This caused us concern for ongoing safety and security. We also feel the need to advise, the unit was not properly clean upon our arrival. Dirt/hair/crumbs on the counter, stove and microwave not wiped down, food crumbs on bottom of fridge/freezer, visible splashes of food, toilet had blue cleaning fluid drips from partial cleaning , mirror has drips &splash marks. We wiped everything down with cleaning wipes.
Despite passing on our concerns to the property manager we did not receive a response from manager or owner.
We love the Shorewater & have stayed there 10+times and have never had such a poor experience when dealing with other rental units.
