Patio Suite at Kingfisher Pond Guesthouse

Like new level entry walk out, one bedroom basement suite on a rural property situated on Quadra Island. Just 4kms from the ferry terminal and other amenities. Suite is easy access with parking immediately outside the front door. Private covered patio with barbeque. Full kitchen and comfortable livingroom with cable tv and wifi. Queen bed and ensuite bath. Roll-away cot available. Shared laundry. On a lovely 12 acre property with great views down the hill to a large pond. Guests are invited to roam our easy walking trails through the forest on the property. We are also located just a short walk/drive to several well maintained community walking trails. 1.5kms to a beach access, 3kms to the golf course and 7kms to Rebecca Spit. Hostess on site with a large, very friendly dog. A peaceful place to enjoy your stay.
Water/sewer/30amp electric RV hookup available as for fee add on to rental.
This reservation has a Super Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 14 day prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 14 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 7 to 13 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 7 days prior to check-in. CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.
Our house rules: not suitable for infants under 2, primary renter must be 25 or older, no smoking, no parties or events, no pets.

Kingfisher pond getaway

This was an amazing 😀 three day getaway for my friend and myself. We used our money to golf 2 days at the Quadra Island golf course. The weather which was calling for rain co operated and the sun shone both days. We checked out the island and enjoyed the large property. The hostess is great, very friendly and knowledgeable, her dog is an adorable Shepard, her husband we did not meet! But he sounded great on the phone. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for peace in a serene location,the unit was immaculate and very well equipped, we had all our meals there and only brought our food eith us. Coffeewassupplied. Could not be happier! K

Serenity in beautiful surroundings

The property is beautiful, very quiet and serene. The unit is totally modern with wonderful decor and finishing. The owners have anticipated every detail of the guest's experience. It provided total comfort and ease of use and at the same time allowed connection to the rest of world as much as one might want or need.

Clean well-appointed apartment with frog pond

The suite was very comfortable, clean and set up for two people sharing a queen bed. We enjoyed the pond and trails on the property, and given how hot it was outside we were thankful that the suite was cool and had a heat pump to cool it further if needed. The hosts were both very pleasant, informative and interesting. We found the rates very reasonable for what we were looking for. This is not the place if you're looking for an ocean view, however, Rebecca Spit is only a few minutes away by car and there are some nice hikes nearby.

Wonderful place!

I and my husband enjoyed our stay at this property as it was very peaceful, clean, price are affordable and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. We would like to stay again at this place another time if we have the chance.

Wonderful escape

A peaceful, clean and comfortable suite for 2 friends escaping work and home tasks for some R and R and a base for hiking, swimming and kayaking. Laurie and Kevin are wonderful hosts, the property is beautiful and quiet and the rooms are spotless.

Quiet, peaceful stay.

The Kingfisher suite has all you will need for your get away, or a quiet stay. The kitchen has a full fridge, stove, dishes, etc. The rooms are clean, the grounds are spacious, and the hosts are helpful. We just needed a quiet place to rest each night after a busy day, and that is what we got at Kingfisher Pond. Thank you.

What a wonderful piece of the world!

We are familiar with the charms of Quadra Island and this property accented all those charms. The 1 bedroom suite was beautiful and quaint. All the conveniences home and grounds that are stunning. The hosts were wonderful and very accommodating. Couldn’t ask for more. Loved the resident gate keeper Eby the dog as well. Thank you Laurie! We will certainly be visiting again.

Great place to stay in Quadra

We stayed in the Patio Suite at Kingfisher Pond. This is a well-equipped spacious 1 bedroom ground level apartment located on a forested quiet property. The hosts were great and very helpful for our time on Quadra. The central location is a short drive to most Quadra highlights and has forest and beach walks right nearby. We stayed for 4 nights but could easily have stayed for a month. This was the best vacation rental this summer for us.

Lovely suite on beautiful acreage.

Friendly, helpful hosts. Gorgeous natural property. Comfortable suite with full sized stove and fridge. Roomy bedroom with comfy bed. Outside patio seating and barbecue, fire pit. It was perfect for us and in spite of heavy rainfall, we enjoyed our stay and managed to do some hiking.

The owners made sure everything was sparkling before we arrived. There was an awesome outdoor covered BBQ area which allowed us to gather for dinner with other friends also staying on the island. We would recommend this patio suite, and look forward to a return visit!

Absolutely serenity ; gorgeous setting

This stay could a destination unto it own. If you need to relax the 12 acre property with ponds , sitting areas , trails and wildlife will make you wish you booked longer! Accessibility to Vancouver island or Cortes island is super easy . Whether you love restauranting and art galleries or your preferences take you to the forest and beaches , this is where you want to stay! The hosts are fantastic ! Thanks again for the great stay! the entire property was gorgeous and so peaceful. Access to beaches and restaurants was very good. We'll go back again but will book directly with owners and eliminate all those extra costs from Expedia that were substantial!!!!
