"The property was lovely and peaceful with beautiful views over the harbour. The buffet breakfast and hotel amenities like the waterside bar and cafe were also nice. The shuttle service was also handy. We booked 2 king bedrooms. The rooms were clean but quite basic. Unfortunately one of the rooms we were allocated (even though they were the same price) was located at the back of building looking into a hill and was very dark. Walking distance to everything we needed and also a bus stop 1 minute walk. 15 Minute bus trip into the city which is so much more convenient than having to take the ferry. "We really appreciated the restoration work here - they’ve kept the heritage feel of the hotel intact without making it feel dated. Despite being above a pub and right on a main road, the rooms were surprisingly quiet. Great location for exploring North Sydney. The common room and kitchen was a lovely surprise. "Potts Point is a great area to base yourselves in in Sydney and Spicers is a great "hotel" - actually, that's too impersonal, it feels more like a home away from home. The reception staff are interested and attentive, our room (No.8) was well provisioned and superclean, we were in walking distance of interesting local shops and restaurants, and a short Uber to the CBD. Thoroughly recommend."
