"Convenient location for our visit to the volcano park. The resort feels a little tired, as if it had a former glamorous life when the adjacent golf course was open. But no real complaints besides a small kitchen and open mezzanine bedroom, the property came with the a swimming pool, hot tub and all the conveniences of a laundry and kitchen gadgets etc."

"The resort community was great. It is sad to see abandoned golf resort buildings around the area. But the resort itself felt very safe. Despite no air conditioning, the combination of ocean breeze and ceiling fans were still great."

"Small hiccup with checkin, but the property manager quickly resolved the issue. Heat of summer is tough, trade winds weren’t quite enough for us but we managed to rest and sleep well. Bring something from Kona to grill, there isn’t much around the area for resupply (as the description states). Overall, a great place to see the black sand beaches and south point."

"The condo was incredible, and exceeded our expectations. The outdoor area was wonderful--very private, with a view of the ocean. Everything was as pictured--very clean and cozy. "The unit was exactly as pictured. The grounds and the lanai view were gorgeous and old time Hawaiian, with lava walls everywhere. Very laid back and quiet rural area, easy walk to the beach. The first day there we saw a turtle and a small eel hanging out in the tidepools. Comfortable bed and nice unit, beautiful large shower with stone floor. Well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the pool. No issues getting into the unit. Great place to get away from it all."
