  • A partir de alquileres en la primavera de 2019! Anteriormente conocida como Casa Sevana.

    Una casa majestuosa y única con impresionantes vistas al mar con vistas a la bahía de Carrillo. La casa está ubicada en una tranquila calle sin salida, justo en el pueblo de Carrillo, a solo unos minutos a pie de restaurantes y a 750 m de la playa.

    La casa es muy amplia y cuenta con 3 dormitorios y 2 baños. El dormitorio principal tiene una cama queen size, el segundo dormitorio tiene dos camas individuales y el tercero está amueblado con una cama individual. A pedido, se puede colocar una cama de aire adicional o una cuna en cualquiera de los dormitorios. Las habitaciones tienen aire acondicionado, armarios grandes y puertas correderas que conducen a las áreas de la piscina y la terraza. Hay varios ventiladores para un flujo de aire cómodo en la sala de estar y la cocina.

    En el segundo piso, disfrutará de una cocina totalmente equipada con hermosos gabinetes de madera que se abren a la sala de estar equipada con televisión e Internet de alta velocidad. Esta casa especial está amueblada y decorada con buen gusto. La casa cuenta con hermosos techos de catedral de teca en todo. Frente al océano, una gran terraza con vistas al océano y a la puesta de sol lo invitará a sentarse y relajarse mientras contempla el océano o observa las numerosas aves y animales que recorren la zona. Una suave brisa del mar siempre fluye por toda la casa.

    Disfrute de la privacidad de los hermosos jardines. ¡Desde las terrazas hasta la espectacular piscina de 25 pies de largo y el cenador de barbacoa, este paraíso tropical es una joya!

Beautiful view of ocean

We had a lovely stay at the property. It is beautifully situated just a short walk from the ocean. The beach was exactly what we were looking for - quiet and unspoiled. We look forward to returning in the future.

Really enjoyed our stay here, the house has a great view down to the sea and the sun sets across the other side of the bay which is pretty stunning. Playa Carillo is just paradise, really quite beach, warm sea, locals at sunset. Worth noting the the AC is just in the bedrooms so communal areas can get hot but there are good fans which helps. Pool was great, perfect temp - not too cold or warm. BBQ area very good. Watch out for mosquitos in the garden, we got nibbled if we forgot to put any repellent on. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay near Playa Carillo. A/C worked fine. Pool was great. Near playa Carillo ans Samara. Very accessible by car.

Delightful family vacation!

Our family of 4, teen and preteen, stayed a week! We loved it. The house is beautiful, the slice of ocean and sunset you see past the pool and manicured lawn, over the tops of jungle trees is magical. A couple of beautiful sunrises and most nights a gorgeous sunset. It’s worth it to walk down to the beach to see sunset through the palm trees. We loved h

Perfect Place to Chill and Relax

Enjoyed the convenience to beach and restaurants. Found the surroundings to be simply magical, with proximity to wild life and greenery. We walked the beach every morning, lounged in the pool afternoons, and had all that we needed to prepare meals in the evening. Recommend stopping by Samara for farmers market, though the market in the village had plenty of staples as well. Nice restaurants within walking distance, particularly the Argentinian Grill. Recommend without reservation.

perfect house at a beautiful beach

We loved our stay here! The house was clean and updated. Beautiful grounds and view of the ocean. We enjoyed the pool and the outdoor lounging area. Small grocery store along the main road close by, and more options in Samara which is a short drive. The bay was so spectacular. Gentle waves and beautiful beach. The property manager helped set up an in home chef for days we needed it. We did not want to leave!

Everything we wanted

A great location Many good restaurants within walking distance. Close to Carrillo Beach which is one of our favorites. Have an icy snow cone type drink made by Carmen. The pool isn’t huge but it was perfect for us and so refreshing after a day in the hot sun. Air conditioning in the bedrooms for a good night sleep. Washer and dryer with a clothesline.. a simple pleasure.We have always felt save staying here. Laun

Hard to find better

Just a beautifully taken care of home. Very easy for our family of 4 to enjoy and a great spot to make the most of our stay in Costa Rica. Walking distant to great restaurants, a good local store and beaches. Clean, spacious, and welcoming. If I could give an extra star I would. Thank you so much!

Amazing! Book now!!

Absolutely spectacular view and location! It was 4.5 hours driving from San Jose so I suggest flying into Liberia Airport. Absolutely worth the drive though. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Honeymoon Getaway

Casa Marelie was amazing

The house and pool were perfect for me and my wife and our 4 kids. The view out to Carrillo bay is awesome. Each bedroom is air conditioned but the common areas are not. Tons of wildlife in the backyard (iguanas, so many birds, lizards) and u can hear/see the howler monkeys in the trees about 100 yards from the house. Carrillo and Samara are both great beaches to explore.

So Relaxing!

We had an amazing stay at the house! We enjoyed the incredible view and loved having the pool to cool off in. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing getaway!

Everything you could ever want...

This house was immaculate and they did not forget anything. My husband, daughter and I had the most beautiful six nights at Casa Marielle. Melissa and Tim (property managers) were wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure we had all of the information (and friends for my daughter!)that we needed. The beach just down the road was absolutely perfect for swimming and bathing and marveling in its beauty. Samara was ten minutes away and had all of the restaurants, activities, etc. that you would need. The other direction were sweeping glorious beaches, nesting turtles.... definitely suggest renting a 4x4 if you are planning on driving. This house was a perfect ending to our trip, not easy to leave. My husband and I drank coffee on the porch every morning, listening to the sounds of the distant waves and watching the parakeets fly by and howler monkeys in the trees.

Wonderful house with super view

Casa Marelie probably is the best vacation rental we have ever picked! Easy communication with the very friendly new German owners before and during our visit. The house is even nicer and bigger than we expected from the pictures. Great views not only from the balcony, but actually from all bedrooms, from the kitchen, living room, from the covered terrace and even from the pool! Two large bedrooms (would work perfectly for two couples) and a small one. Our family loved the area and enjoyed both quiet playa Carrillo as well as the lively playa Samara. Many restaurants in the area. (Do not miss El Colibri if you like steaks.) We all loved the „Turtle nesting tour“ that we had booked online (but it would not have been a problem to book it in Samara). If you were lucky enough to find a vacancy for your travel dates at Casa Marelie, look no further! And stay more than just a few days, because you will hate to leave - I promise!

Most amazing vacation home ever!

It's literally the best vacation home I rented! The house is super comfy and convenient. There is everything you need... and the view is just amazing! This is a great house to be with kids and friends. Matthias was super helpful and nice, and very responsive. Really a pleasure to interact with him. I'm definitely going back!!

Wonderful House with Great Location and Ocean View

This house was exactly as described -- only even more beautiful. The ocean view from the interior of the house, the downstairs patio, upstairs deck and especially the pool can't be beat. The location was perfect. You can easily walk into the town of Carillo for groceries and to eat at a few restaurants. It is a short drive (~ 10-12 minutes) to the more touristy Samara with many more shops and restaurants. Playa Carillo is beautiful and nearly deserted. You can walk there in about 15 minutes or drive there in about 3 minutes. It is easy to park. A definite highlight was a horsebacking riding tour with Luis into the jungle and on the beach (quite a deal at $30 per person for a two hour trip). If you are looking for a quiet place to soak in the beauty and sounds of Costa Rica and experience a little bit more of the Tico culture, this is the house for you. The A/C in the bedrooms work really well and the rest of the house stays reasonable cool if you open the windows (which have screens). There also is a ton of wildlife on and near the property. We were visited daily by a couple of iguanas, many beautiful birds and were often awoken in the morning by the screeches of the howler monkeys which we saw from the house on day and after walking down to the end of the street, saw an entire family with a few babies on several occasions. The house is clean, well appointed, and the local property management people were very responsive. Overall, just a fabulous place!

What a fantastic stay at Casa Marelie!

The house is amazing with a wonderful view to the sea, including some great sunsets, and in a perfect location. It is in walking distance from Playa Carrillo, one of the most beautiful beaches I've seen, and it is also just a short walk to the village with nice restaurants and little supermarket. I even took the bus once from Samara, no problem, the bus stop is just on the main road close to the house. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher, which is not standard in CR. There is air con (A/C) in every bedroom, which is good to have here, and there is a washing machine. The pool is perfect for a family and if you're lucky, you can see a local iguana come by during the day. We also took some tours that a local agency offered (Blue Zone in Samara), great horseback riding and dolphin watching! I will definitely come back again!
