This is a resort pretending to be something it isn’t. Look, complaining about an expensive hotel while people struggle to feed their families feels extremely disingenuous. However I don’t pretend to be anything that I am not, and this hotel does not subscribe to the same philosophy. And I absolutely, positively, hate wasting money when people insist that I’m receiving good value for that money. The staff, while friendly, knows nothing about the resort they work on without the help of a manager. The bar staff disappears without warning and, after waiting 30 minutes, I have yet to find out when they return. Ordered a drink (old fashioned), got a really bad drink (idk what it was) from a manager who had nothing to do with food and bev, and then they argued with me when I said they served me a drink I did not order. The management is too busy to deal with complaints, and they never returned my call to the front desk describing my complaints. Nor did they respond to my complaints on Facebook messenger which is absurd. Why have the page if you don’t monitor it? It takes 45 minutes to receive a bottle of wine from room service when you are a 5 minute trip from the hotel bar, and you might just get a nice room temperature white with no ice. They will however, describe to you where to find and how to procure said ice.
