    Give everyone a real place to spread out after a North Shore beach day. This three-bedroom, three-bath Nihilani home sleeps eight and looks across the 18th fairway of the Makai Golf Course, with a lanai made for a slow morning coffee before Hanalei plans begin. Central air conditioning, ceiling fans in every room, a two-car enclosed garage, and an in-home washer and dryer make family travel feel considerably easier. The fully equipped kitchen has room for the breakfast rush and a blender and rice cooker for the meals you actually want to make at home. When the sun is high, trade the beach for the shared pool and hot tub. Princeville Center, Hanalei Bay, hiking, and North Shore scenery are all a short drive away. It is a strong fit for a multigenerational family or friends traveling together who want comfort, room, and a well-located Kauai base.



    The Space:

    The largest floor plan in Nihilani, this three-bedroom, three-bath home sleeps eight with room to regroup between adventures. The lanai looks across the 18th fairway of Makai Golf Course, while the fully equipped kitchen includes a blender and rice cooker. Central air, ceiling fans throughout, a two-car garage, washer and dryer, and TVs in every bedroom keep the stay easy.



    Guest Access:

    Guests at Nihilani in Princeville have access to a shared communal pool and hot tub, plus enclosed garage parking. The grounds include garden and golf views, and family friendly extras like a crib and children's books make it easy for families to settle in for longer stays.



    The Neighborhood:

    Princeville is Kauai's lush North Shore perch, a green residential community with access to beaches, trails, golf, and Hanalei just down the road. Pick up groceries, coffee, and casual meals at Princeville Center, then make the short drive to Hanalei Bay for a beach day or pier walk. The Makai Golf Course landscape gives this area its open, breezy feel, while nearby viewpoints and waterfall hikes reveal the wetter side of the island. It is a practical choice for families who want North Shore beauty with everyday conveniences close by.



    Getting Around:

    Lihue Airport is about 40 minutes away via a scenic drive along Kauai's coast. A rental car is highly recommended since the North Shore's beaches, restaurants, and Hanalei's shops are spread out. Princeville itself offers walkable access to some shops and dining, while beaches like Hanalei Bay are a short drive. Parking is typically available in lots or driveways at most properties.

Very clean, spacious home and very well appointed. The property has a nice shared pool with gas grills. Met, or exceeded, all our expectations.

One of the Best Rentals!

We loved our stay in Nihilani, the unit was amazing, one of the best stocked and comfortable rentals we have ever had. The beds were great, plenty of bedding, towels, supplies, etc. The location is terrific and easy to get in and out. Will stay here again!

Perfect place for family vacation

This was a great place to stay for our family. There is a lot of space, the furniture was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped and there were lots of beach towels/chairs/masks, etc. The view from the lanai facing the mountains across the golf course was perfect. We also had to work while we were here and there was even a little office space.

Squatter in the unit, that property manager was already aware of from cleaning crew. We were sent message that we could check in early (we didn't). Found a filthy unit with stuff of the squatter (suitcase, food, pee in toilet, bed unmade, etc.) Resolution was unsatisfactory and we will be discussing disputing charges with credit card company.

Summer in Kauai

The view from the lanai (back porch) was amazing. Overlooking the golf course, mountains and a beautiful waterfall. The house was clean and seemed to be a recent build. Location for a north shore stay was very good.

Very roomy, lots of beach chairs, etc. great area to stay, beautiful views! Only downside is to park in garage, kinda tight, if you have 2 cars! No on street parking.

Relaxed getaway

Excellent property! Spacious, clean, large balcony with very nice view of a waterfall off in the distance. Quiet, safe community feel to it. Comfortable over all - the beds were great! Equipt with most everything you need for a stay away from home. Convenient location. We would definitely stay here again! Communication was outstanding.

Kauai Retreat

Amazing house. Lots of space and well pointed. Extras like beach chairs, towels and snorkeling gear. Only down side is that the back of the property is on a busy road with constant traffic. But you have a great view of the golf course and mountains!

Very comfortable

The condo is even more spacious than it looks in the photos. Very comfortable and clean. The beds are extremely comfortable. We had a nice walk in Princeville each morning—such a beautiful area. The condo could use a couple of items: a throw blanket in the living room and fresh boogie boards (the ones there 12/20/21 were all broken). Otherwise everything you need is there.

Family vacation

Pictures don’t do justice. This place is spacier than what it looks like on line. There was always someone within reach and that always makes a vacation better knowing you can contact someone and they will reach you quickly. People complain of traffic but it didn’t wake any of us up. Thank you for allowing us to make memories as a family.

Fantastic, well-equipped spot!

This is a great spot in Princeville. The unit is in excellent shape and very well-equipped with beach equipment, kitchen supplies (including a Vitamix which is perfect for smoothies) and a crib. The view off the porch is of the mountains and golf course, and the pool isn't too far away. There is lots of space to spread out. The only consideration is that it is right next to a main road, so you definitely hear traffic noise on that side of the unit (which includes the master bedroom and porch). Highly recommend, especially for families!

Perfect.for a North shore stay

Condo was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Perfect neighborhood for walks. Many paths. Can get to Foodlands grocery.by a 30 min walk. Very short drive to Hanalei. ** Need to know it is a second floor.condo with 18 steps up. (I saw an elderly gentleman struggling up the steps.of a similar condo across the way). Also fair bit of road.noise.

Comfy spacious modern townhouse

This is a nice and very well appointed townhouse in Princeville, our family really enjoyed it. Comfy beds, modern furnishings, great amenities. Lovely mountain view from the private back balcony, you could even see waterfalls in the mountains after rains. The pool and spa are really nice, and there's a big shallow section of the pool for the littles to splash around in. The unit was also very quiet which is something we enjoy about visiting Kauai, however, there's a somewhat busy (for Hawaii) road behind the balcony, so if you're sensitive to that bring some headphones for sitting out there. Our only real complaint is as another reviewer mentioned, the microwave is really funky, hopefully they'll update it soon or at least post instructions for how to use it properly.

Nihilani 21C

Interior layout is open and spacious. Bedrooms have plenty of room, though the "twin bed" room's bathroom is a bit small. The room makes up for it with an outside balcony which my daughter loved. Laundry room is good size with modern regular sized washer/dryer...definately a plus. Plenty of beach towels (and bathroom towels) supplied. Lots of closet space in the bedrooms, especially the master bedroom and adjacent bedroom. Kitchen has modern amenities, utensils and cabinet space. Didn't use any of the TVs in the bedrooms, so don't know if they worked. Main TV in the living room worked well. Wifi is a bit slow, but above average. A/C works great. Neighborhood is fantastic for taking walks. Beautiful scenery abounds... No problems with the lockbox or garage lock (once we figured them out). The condo configuration makes pulling in and out of the garage somewhat tricky, especially if you have an SUV. Overall, a great experience. Enjoy your stay...

Beautiful Home, Terrible Property Manager

Potential renters who are reading this because of the 1-star review, please read on. I can't say enough good things about this house. It was clean, had no weird smells, had lots of amenities and extras to make it feel like home. The one star review exists because it's the only way I can express my displeasure with the management company, Vacasa. They're terrible. We had two issues during the stay and one afterwards that Vacasa couldn't have handled any worse. Upon checking in we learned quickly that the internet password provided to us was incorrect. Also, the microwave was not a normal microwave. I communicated with Vacasa through the VRBO messaging system and asked for help with both items. We needed the correct password and some help on how to operate the microwave. Vacasa responded and asked if I could power cycle the router, which I did and the password still didn't work. I had work to do and needed internet for my lap top. Upon telling them that this didn't fix the problem they said they would "notify the local team." They didn't even acknowledge my question about the microwave. The following day I messaged them to say that I hadn't heard from the local team and that I really need the password. Vacasa then told me that they prioritize fixing problems by urgency and that my problem wasn't urgent enough to get quick attention. Remember, all I needed was the correct password. The next day I followed up again and they said there was nothing more they could do until the local team decided to help. I ended up going my whole stay without internet connection which was a huge pain when I needed to work at night. We stayed in three different places over two islands on our trip and at the end of the trip I realized that my Bose headphones were missing. I contacted the two other places I stayed and they quickly made an inquiry to see if they had the headphones. When I contacted Vacasa they said that there's a $25 fee for them to even ask the local team if my headphones were left behind. I told them that I had a $100/day fee for terrible service and they could expect a bill (obviously this won't happen). But what a joke that they wanted to charge me $25 to send an email when they couldn't provide me with basic service for my whole stay.
