"Rooms are a bit dated (compared to the pictures shown) but generally okay for a comfortable stay. Housekeeping is done everyday so you get fresh towels and sheets daily. Location-wise is central and convenient, and across from 1st Avenue Mall which is great if you need anything."

"Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön und eine absolute Empfehlung. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und trotzdem gut klimatisiert. Der Pool bietet eine willkommene Abkühlung in der schwülen Hitze und es gibt kostenloses Eis. Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit in allen lagen. Einzige Kritikpunkt ist, das es sehr laut ist. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und man hört bis spät in die Nacht die Geräusche der umliegenden Bars sehr deutlich. Ohrstöpsel bekommt man aber an der Rezeption. "

"Rooms are beautifully and interestingly decorated and furnished, I think in the style of a well heeled Chinese family of a bygone era. Both rooms 8 and 9 are huge, especially 9. We were quickly offered a change to room 9 because the air conditioning unit in room 8 needed attention. Breakfast was à la carte, well cooked and sufficient."

"This place has a very good location in a nice and quet street. Near to a supermarket and several shopping malls, bus station is also nearby. Really appreciated to use the fully equipped shared kitchen. The staff and the owner is kind and helpful. I had one of the private rooms at first floor, a few tings in the room should me fixed/mantained..rooms has an intresting 2floor solution that is kind of functioning quite well for the given space..mostly very quiet at the whole stay. Will hopefully...

"The room was fine, and the staff were very friendly. I was a bit surprised when I first arrived, somehow expecting a bigger hotel, but it worked out okay. I stayed six nights. The location was good, not too far from Komtar and 1st Avenue mall, but you really need to be steady on your feet to manage the footpaths, or lack thereof, to get there. I had lived in Penang a long time ago, so I was kind of used to it, but as a senior, it took a little more focus to stay upright than when I was young....
