In a rural setting across the road from a stream, the house is 5 minutes to the market, restaurants, cafe, bookstore and shops of Scott's Corners, 15 Minutes to the 4,300 acre Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, 15 minutes to New Canaan or Bedford, and just over an hour to Manhattan by train or car. The Great Room boasts a grand wood burning fireplace. The Kitchen features SubZero and Viking appliances. There is 1 bedroom, 1 office, 1 bath, and a loft for work, TV watching or guests' sleeping (2 convertible chairs form 2 narrow single beds or 1 nearly full-sized double). 7-night minimum.

Charming hideaway in Westchester!

I spent 2 serene weeks here and hope to return some day! With modern creature comforts in the kitchen, the rest of this home is very rustic. If you are looking for peace and quiet, and are into drawing, cooking or reading books to the sounds of trees rustling and water flowing across the street, you will be in heaven here. For summer months, note that there is only a small portable AC unit in the sunroom. There are several fans and it was manageable in early summer, but I imagine it is quite warm throughout the summer. During my stay a few issues arose but the hosts were extremely responsive and quick to resolve each one. This home is also quite close to Scott's Corner shops and markets.

Cozy, comfortable, convenient stay in Pound Ridge

John was a fantastic host - his home was the perfect solution for us for a few days while we were in the process of moving to the area and our home wasn't ready yet. Great communication with us prior to check-in, very responsive to our questions and needs at the beginning and throughout our stay. Home is as pictured in the photos with very nice touches throughout. Washer/dryer and dishwasher in great working condition. Location super close to Scotts Corners where there are nice local restaurants, places to grab coffee and a supermarket, as well as other local areas of interest (Bedford, New Canaan, etc.). Highly recommend!

3- week visit

A cozy, well-maintained cottage, conveniently located near our son and his family who we were visiting. Modern appliances in the kitchen. Exterior and interior were as shown on VRBO. The property manager and owner were very helpful whenever we needed anything. Highly recommended. We would definitely like to stay here again whenever we visit our son.
