The AC does not work. The portable AC units do not work with casement windows.Makes for a challenging sleep.Location is nice.Being your own sharp knives, extra garbage bags, extra toilet paper, kitchen towels and washcloths, and bathroom hand towels as these are not included. I can’t stress enough how HOT it is in the upstairs rooms (only place to sleep). 88 degrees on second floor and no clue with the third as there was not a thermostat up there. We stayed here halfway for both on our trip to SC and return home. So HOT, it’s unbearable. Previous reviews say it’s ongoing since 2022.

The pictures on the Vrbo site didn't match what we actually received. The A/C didn't work on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The were no box springs on any of the beds. I felt like our host was giving us the run around. We were here from Jun 26th to July 5th. The last time I heard anything from the host was June 30th. Too much money was paid(2500) for this place to lack basic amenities in this Virginia heat

Avoid this host.We were unable to access the property at check-in because the host failed to provide the door code. We sent messages through VRBO, texted, and called multiple times with no response. The code was finally sent more than an hour after check-in time, leaving our group stranded. When we requested a refund due to the delayed access, the host falsely claimed the check-in information had been sent in advance. After that, they tried to deny the refund by raising concerns about age requirements, despite every member of our party being over 40 and fully meeting the stated requirements. The lack of communication, delayed check-in, and attempts to avoid accountability made this a very disappointing experience. If you value responsive hosts and a smooth check-in process, I would recommend booking elsewhere.

Perfectly situated for our needs, lovely house for our family. House has a few minor maintenance updates needed, but nothing major and the host was very quick to respond to questions. We would totally stay again if we need a house in the area while attending another event. Very close to restaurants and things to do. Lovely, quiet historic downtown street.

Great fit for our group of 3 couples

Very quaint neighborhood. Loved being able to walk to so many attractions. Took the ferry to Norfolk twice and drive to Virginia Beach one day. There really isn’t an outdoor space to gather but we bought a couple folding chairs and hung out on the front step area quite a bit. Left chairs for future guests to enjoy. Enjoyed the Portsmouth speakeasy style tapas restaurant and the Bier Garden on High St. First time visit to the area and really enjoyed it. Quiet cities but nice and relaxing.

Spacious, lovely, great value

The property was modern, clean, and lovely. Very comfortable. Quaint historic neighborhood has a lot of charm. 2 bedrooms are on the second floor with the master on the 3rd. Great value for visiting nearby Norfolk. Parking was always available in the lot across the street, never full even when getting back to the house late at night. I would stay there again.

Nice neighborhood

This three story property was perfect for my family’s needs! The house was exactly as listed and there were no issues. The kids enjoyed the bedrooms and the television, the adults enjoyed the spacious kitchen. We loved walking to the water, and taking a trip on the ferry. Lots of things to do Va beach and the Va. zoo was 1/2 hour drive.
