About this space
The Black House Studio is a cozy studio oasis situated in the Overlook neighborhood in Portland, one of the city’s many desirable neighborhoods and is close proximity to the Mississippi and Albert Arts District.

Located north of the Pearl District across I-5, staying in Overlook puts you in the middle of everything that PDX has to offer. The studio is just a short walk, bike ride or lyft from local grocery stores, great restaurants, nightlife, parks, entertainment and more.
The space
This studio unit accommodates up to two guests and is accessed through a private and secure entrance from the outside. This allows guest to come and go as they need without being concerned about disturbing the host.

The unit is equipped with a kitchenette with free snacks and water, a full bathroom (bathroom and shower) and all the basic personal care items you might need for a short term stay.

The unit is also equipped with a television with access to HBO Max, Netflix and Peacock. There’s also an echo show device, so you can ask Alexa to play your favorite genre of music, give you an update on the weather or local traffic.
Guest access
Guest will enter the studio unit through a private and secure entrance from outside.

Shared access to the main home is restricted. The exception is made for guests that stay a minimum of one week.

Guest can use the main house washer and dryer once per week for every 7 days booked and generally on a Saturday or Sunday.

Lovely space

This host has thought of everything. She even has ideas of things to do in town. There is so much space in a small area plenty for two adults. We didn’t spend a lot of time inside since we were here to see our son and his family but when we were in the place we never felt uncomfortable. We made breakfast with the coffee pot, toaster oven and microwave. The small refrigerator is great for snacks and leftovers. We enjoyed the fact we could open the windows and get fresh air at night. Very clean and host asked several times if we needed anything since we stayed for 11 days.

Everything was simply wonderful. The apartment was clean, spacious, warm, and smells so nice. If I could make a suggestion, I would say that as a 6ft tall person, the bed was a bit on the smaller side (Because of the frame), so if there's a bed without the frame it would be even better. Looking forward to staying here again in the future!

Clean and Conveniently Located

Nice and very clean intimate studio. It was perfect for my wife and I. We were out most of the day and night exploring the city with our daughter who lives there. We just needed as nice clean place to shower and sleep. Conveniently located near many good eating places and shopping. Will consider staying here again.

Awesomeness stay.

Everything was so nice and comfortable, so cozy and loved that I had tv and alexa to keep me company. But most important is the how nice angela is, i felt really welcomed to be there, thanks😊
