The communication with owner and property manager was quick. The description was accurate. The property was janky. The exterior needed cleaned up and the land scaping needed trimmed. The inside of the house needed a deep cleaning. The walls were dirty, many knicks in the walls, oulets that didn't work, pocket doors that didn't work, windows with broken seals, carpets needed a good vacuum and cleaning. The chair in the formal living room was covering an air vent that didn't have the correct size covering the one on it was too small. Ants and flies were in the house. The master bed room had a wall outlet missing the protective cover. A fire and safety hazard. The mini blinds were broken and missing slats. The master bathroom had black stuff on the white ceiling that looked like mold? but not sure. The kitchen sink faucet was not secured in place. The whole faucet was wobbly and getting the water to shut off was tricky. The furniture was uncomfortable and partially broken. The beds had well worn bedding. Clean but not very new. The baths were missing trash cans. We contracted to rent the house for 3 nites 4 days. We arrived late the first night. In the morning we reached out to the manager with a request to leave early and be reimbursed. Thankfully the owner and VRBO let us out with partial reimbursement. We didn't feel comfortable using any appliances except the coffee maker.
