  • Welcome to the “Nelson House” your low country, townhome, escape in a quaint neighborhood within walking distance of Port Royal’s restaurants, shopping, and festivals and within 5 minutes of The Sand’s beach, boardwalk, and boat ramp. The home is also within 10 minutes of Historic downtown Beaufort and Parris Island and thirty minutes to Hunting Island State Park beach!
    The Nelson House is located within steps to the Cypress Wetlands walking trail, where you can enjoy a boardwalk stroll and abundant wildlife viewing!
    When you are not out exploring, relax on the front porch and enjoy a glass of sweet tea or grill in your private backyard. The home has an open and bright floor plan with oversized bedrooms and cozy gas logs.
    We purchased the Nelson House in 2024 and it boasted 65, 5-star reviews with its previous owner! Come enjoy the Nelson House and the best the low country has to offer!

We enjoyed our stay. The home is very clean and comfortable. The host was very responsive to our questions and the kitchen has modern appliances. The home is located minutes from the beach and the Parris Island Marine Corps base.

Mr. Brad was great with communicating with us with any questions we had. The house was extremely clean and fully equipped with everything you need. Stocked kitchen supplies and all the EXTRAS. It most definitely felt like home away from home. We can wait to book our next stay

Great convenient location for exploring Port Royal and the surrounding area. It was so cool walking through the Wetland preserve to each morning to get coffee, so much wildlife! The internet was good enough to support 2 remote workers. The neighborhood was quiet and the neighbors were very friendly. 10/10 would book again.

This is the second time we have stayed at this location for a week long stay. We truly love the layout and it's proximity to different places in Port Royal. Brad, the owner, is super nice. I would highly recommend renting this space.

We stayed here for our nephews Marine Corps boot camp graduation. It’s really close to Parris Island, it was super clean, pet friendly, next door to a nature trail that we walked daily, and the host provided a park pass to hunting island which was amazing! 10/10 would recommend! Thanks so much!

Great location to go watch my son graduate boot camp at Parris Island. Not too far from base and had wonderful little restaurants near to try.

We had a great stay here! Very nice setup, a real kitchen with dishware, cookware (so many places don't) AND Brad was very accommodating and responsive to our pet and trip needs. Having the wetlands next door and being able to see a fantastic rookery in full nesting action was over the top! Definitely coming back!

Very nice duplex. It had all of the amenities needed and is walking distance to the shops and Cyprus Wetlands. We will definitely stay here again. The host is very kind and responsive.

Our family had a great time at this home! The home has everything you need. The beds, bedding, and pillows were the best I've ever slept on at a VRBO. The house is also steps away from the rookery and we were able to hear the birds and walk to see them every morning and evening. We also really appreciated the state park pass and were able to go to Hunting Island and Hilton Head. Our family will definitely be looking to rent this home again for future trips!

We had a wonderful stay! It was a perfect location in Port Royal with everything we needed just a short walk away. There was an excellent kitchen too which made it so easy to prepare a meal. We would most definitely stay again!
