Looking for a coastal getaway? Come visit the Jewel of Port Royal!
The home is equipped with high speed wifi, so if you work remotely and/or are home schooling, you don't have to miss school or work!

Located in the Old Village of Port Royal less than a mile from the Sands Beach and Boardwalk, this beautifully appointed spacious home comfortably sleeps 8. Features include large light and bright living, dining and kitchen area with high cathedral ceiling, back screened porch, and open front porch. Home also features 2 first floor bedrooms (one with 1 King bed and one with 1 Queen bed) and 2 full bathrooms. 2nd floor features 1 bedroom with 1 queen bed, 1 single bed, 1 futon and a full bathroom.

The Great Room features a large flat screen TV. There are smaller TV's in each of the three sleeping areas. Rest and relax in this tastefully appointed home which includes beautiful bedding, towels, and all the dishes, pots, and pans you will need.

Within walking distance is the Cypress Wetlands Nature Preserve, which features nature trails and a boardwalk right over the water. This nature preserve is home to various local wildlife, including several species of birds, turtles, alligators and more. Catch the sunrise just a short walk to the Sands Beach and listen to Marine Recruits singing cadence just across the river.
Port Royal is also home to various year round festivals. During the spring and summer there is live outdoor music every other Saturday night on Paris Ave, the main street in Port Royal. Bring your chair and dancing shoes and enjoy the free entertainment!

Located less than a mile from the house at the Heritage Park on Ribaut Rd is the Port Royal Farmer's Market. The market is open year round every Saturday morning from 9 am - 12 pm and features fresh local produce, baked goods, locally raised meat, fresh caught seafood, plants, hot meals, and much more!

**There are security cameras outside at this home. We have one camera on the front porch facing the street and one camera just outside of the back porch facing the backyard. There are no cameras or recording devices inside of the home.**

What a great experience!! We came to see my nephew graduate from the Marine Corp, and this was a great place to stay!! A beautiful house will always be remembered!! Great communication and they made sure the lights were on due to our late arrival. Beautiful home!

Great stay

We had a great long term stay testing out the “snowbird” life. The house was perfect! Allowed us a great home away from home. Many things to do in the area & returning each day to Port Royal gave us the small hometown feel we love!

Parris Island graduation

Great little house for a family to stay while in town for USMC graduation. It was a short drive to Parris Island. The house fit 7 adults and a child perfectly. It needs a good cleaning but other than that I recommend it. Much better than separate hotel rooms!

Convenient

Overall, convenient to Parris Islands (Marine base). Clean and most needs are met. However we left behind 3 item's, 2 of which were very important but we didnt realize being new Maribe parents and it being such a hectic schedule. It was pretty upsetting that the cleaning crew/owners did not reach out after cleaning and ask if we realized we left behind military issued gear. We could've came back for it or had it shipped. Instead we are just another form of income. I would've paid top dollar to have my sons gear sent home but we didnt realize until he was headed to Camp Geiger. I messed up, being the adult to see what was brought from base but human decency could've saved so much grief. People just need to look out for one another and this specific place didnt even care. My Marines little brother also lost a necklace in the couch and again it means nothing. Little things mean a lot. Be more responsible and make sure you dont overlook ANYTHING.

Port Royal getaway

Communication, check in and overall stay was great. Property had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. Convenient to Parris Island which was purpose of visit. Nice restaurants and attractions nearby. Will return when we get the chance.

Clean, cozy, and comfortable. It was like staying in Mayberry.

The house was clean, comfortable, and we loved sitting on the back porch. It had everything we needed for the months stay. The area was like no other place we stayed. It is a quaint quiet area that reminded me of Mayberry with beautiful front porches and sidewalks to walk on throughout the town. We so enjoyed the wetland area also. We highly recommend the Smokehouse delicious with their have large servings and reasonably priced. This is a place I would love to call home in the future.

10 minutes from Parris Island. Easy on/off the base. Quiet neighborhood. Clean. Spacious. Screened in back porch was a blessing. We slept seven adults with no problems and without using the couches.

Cute and close to the base

We stayed for our oldest Sons Marine Corp Bootcamp Graduation. The place was so cute and plenty of room for my husband and I, our other three teen children, and the grandparents. It was close to the base and in a nice quiet neighborhood. We walked to the nature trail one afternoon and got to see an Alligator! My only feedback was it wasn’t as clean as the other reviews had said. When we arrived the kitchen floor had crumbs and dust bunnies (which was easy for me to sweep up) and I noticed the master bedroom vent had what looked like mold on it? Just some feedback for the housekeeper. Overall it was a great trip and we would 100% stay here again!
