Pool, Pet Friendly, Free Wi-Fi @ Seahorse House

Seahorse house is conveniently located and has a 2 car width off-street parking space with even room for your boat. The park opposite has a lily pond with ducks and a children’s playground. You may even see kangaroos on the front lawn at dusk.
Your four-legged family members are welcome inside and there is a well-fenced yard and room for games. Seahorse has been furnished for the comfort and convenience of its guests from the bali style pool surrounds with lounges to the large undercover dining area and BBQ. All you need for outdoor living including capturing any cool breezes and sunshine. All linen is supplied including beach towels.

The surrounding area has plenty of walking options and if you are a horse lover then you will enjoy an early morning stroll down to the racetrack to see the horses thunder by as they exercise. Port Macquarie has plenty to do and see with many well kept secret locations that you can find with our help.

We take great care with cleaning and providing all that you need and plenty of extras so that it can be one of your most relaxing holidays. There is a dedicated work space with a desk and power points handy. So you can still log in while you are away.

Surrounding area
- DouglasVale Historic Homestead and Vineyard with cellar door is within walking distance and is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays and Sundays..
- Within 5 mins drive there are at least 6 op shops (charity shops) if you love to hunt out a bargain.
- Take a 15 minute walk to a local cafe on the river or to Settlers hotel that has a bottle shop. The best prawns in Port Macquarie are sold in their carpark on Fr and Sat from 9am-12noon.
- Try fishing along the riverfront or walk onto the ferry and take a free ride over to the North Shore and look back to Port Macquarie CBD.
- The neighborhood has plenty of green space and parks for your pets and also a children's playground.
- If you walk down Kemp St and take a laneway on your right then you are not far from the local Clifton Drive shops.

On the TV we have created a YouTube listing of videos about local attractions so you can sit back with a drink in hand and decide what you would like to do in the days to come.

Another fabulous stay at Seahorse House

It was a pleasure, as always, to return to Seahorse House for a couple of weeks' break over Christmas/New Years. Marian and Colin are the perfect hosts and always ensure we're very comfortable, with everything that's needed in place for a delightful holiday. The house is always spotless on arrival and the pool is a real gem, ideal for cooling off on a hot December/January day in Port Macquarie. We can't wait to return soon.

Very comfortable

Lovely property, well equipped and comfortable. Perfect for a family with puppies. Owners are so nice and welcoming. There was a welcome pack, information about the surrounding areas, and tips on puppy friendly beaches and restaurants. We had a great time.

Perfect for the family

Staying at Marian's property was just what our family was after. We were looking for a pool, as well as dog friendly accommodation. The house had everything we were after, and we really appreciated the little extra touches that were there on our arrival. Thank you for a lovely week!

Another great holiday in Port Macquarie

As in previous visits, the property was spotless on arrival, and the host very welcoming. We spent a relaxing three weeks swimming every day and unwinding after a very hard year. We can't wait to come back.

Lovely house, very dog friendly

We had a lovely week in the house. Our dog was allowed inside, fencing was great. Everything was clean and tidy and there was a very nice welcome pack on arrival. Excellent instructions provided for practically everything - TV, washing machine, all cupboards had details of contents, etc. The pool was a lovely treat.

Lovely property in quiet neighbourhood

Spacious property, with great swimming pool and outdoor area. The neighbourhood is quiet and inviting, fairly close to shops and restaurants but at the time in residential area. The house is spacious and well appointed, with good glow to the outdoor. The owners are nice and responsive and provided all we needed for our stay.

Return visit to Seahorse House

Seahorse House is a very well-maintained and equipped holiday property, with a delightful outdoor area and pool for relaxation. We really enjoyed waking up to all the birds around the generally quiet neighbourhood. The owners, Marion and Colin, are very helpful and welcoming. It's a lovely place to stay, and we can't wait to return.

Sensational Seahorse

I travelled to this property with my partner, our two kids and two dogs. The house was very well presented and very tidy. The photographs are accurate and the little extras (home made cookies and slice) were delightful after a day of travelling. The pantry was well stocked, the extra beach towels, games and pet supplies were appreciated! The late check out time is great and we did not feel rushed to leave this property. We made great use of the pool and entertaining area. We will be staying here again. Highly recommended.

Two weeks of total relaxation in Port Macquarie

Seahorse House is a well-appointed family destination, with virtually everything you could require for a self-contained and relaxing holiday. The property was spotless and very comfortable, and the outdoor area and pool quite idyllic for alfresco dining puntuated by a cooling swim. The beds are comfy, and the surrounding neighbourhood is quiet, being slightly outside the main town, apart from the delightful bird songs throughout the day. We loved it!

Loved every part of this stay!

Lovely holiday house, with so much care and attention paid to our stay. Beach towels provided, so many things for the kids to do, even treats for our dog!! Easy drive to anything you want to do in Port Macquarie. The kids loved the house, we loved the house, and we had a really nice little break in Port Mac. Would love to stay here again. Marian and Colin, thanks for everything!

Port Macquarie Magic

We stayed at Seahorse House for 4 nights throughout March 2021. The house was very neat and tidy, clean and best of all came with lots of extras ie condiments, extra towels, candles, mosquito coils etc which made our holiday so much easier. The pool was an entertainers delight which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. Location was perfect for us - Aldi is nice and close along with a great bakery. We certainly would not hesitate to book Seahorse again. Marian was very easy to deal with. We look forward to booking this house again next year!
